Klipsch Jubilee & Klipschorn Experience
I have used ss with horns for years, and admittedly, some ss can be harsh. But I would blame the room and set up, more than the amplification. Phusis, in his last paragraph of his latest post, makes a lot of sense. I know people who cannot handle ...

That would be too close for me, for what I am looking for. Enjoy ! MrD.
Nuforce STA200 issue. Rumble every couple minutes
@kray, it was designed to work with a passive preamp. @Mesch, it is not the perfect amplifier ( point me in the direction of " the one ", please ). Knowing it’s limitations, I bought my 1st one, and based on how much I enjoyed it, I quickly sold o...
What can beat Wilson XVX for less money?
@skinzy, what I am saying is, musicians listen to specific characteristics within the recorded music, different than the typical audiophile. How I see the typical audiophile and listener today, soundstaging and imaging seems to be the biggest thin...

@souljasmooth what is your room size, and how far do you sit from your Jubilees ? I sit 8ft away from my Lascalas, and this works great for me. I cannot imagine Jubilees in my room, as I mentioned in a prior post. My best, MrD.

A great song by CCR...." Keep On Chooglin "...see ( listen ) to how your system responds......

The STA200 is an incredible amp, given the " proper system " it is paired with, and of course, the $499 selling price. People are giving them away it seems.

@ricevs " tweeter and mids ".....high frequencies and midrange. The Jubilee is a two way design, which I believe you understand. Paul always wanted a TOTL 2 way, and Roy took it to market🙂. My best, MrD.

There are many people, some named and posting here, that do not know what real music sounds like, and this is unfortunate. What is important to me, with a sound system, is to convey " what the musicians are doing ", as a solo performer, and as a m...
We should reject hard-to-drive speakers more often
@bdp24 I have no idea what was said by kenjit, as I pass him over when reading. My point was, there is no ONE speaker for all of us, let alone a perfect one. Sorry if I was vague in my communication of that point.
We should reject hard-to-drive speakers more often
@bdp24.... What if a few of us got together to try to design a speaker, we all liked.......This is the thing, and it is ok. We each like what we like, without need to defend why. Unfortunately, many are still searching for that " perfect sound for...
Klipsch Cornwall IV
Any speaker brand made, relative of selling price, can be modified and improved ( in most cases ) with better parts, specifically in the cross over.
Klipsch Jubilee & Klipschorn Experience
I am a horn lover / owner for 50+ years, but I do feel very large horn speakers ( like the Jubilee ) requires a greater distance between them and the listener, as my experience tells me. I cannot enjoy my ears feeling that they are inside the horn...
Class H amps?
@kraftwerkturbo , The A400 ( and A400 Pro ), S800, S840 and S860 all use the PCR circuitry, but I am fairly certain they were not categorized as Class H ( there were other models as well ). The A-5001 and A-5002 are Class H. Some differences in so...
Class H amps?
My Soundcraftsmen A400 became scary good, after removing the wimpy power cord and hotwiring a 10 ga power cable I built to replace it, and, creating a 2ndary ground. Took this amp to another level. Power cords make a difference. Anyway, having own...
