Home Theatre AVR recommendations (Anthem, NAD vs Denon, pioneer, marantz) I own a pair of the 685s driven by an NAD 50wpc amp. No problem driving them with this amp.
Best Way to Spend ~ $2000 for System Improvement Xrayz, I have been following this thread since inception and feel you have received much valuable info. Based on your feedback I thought I might add: I also use an USB/SPDIF converter, owning a V-link and a Audiophileo2 with purepower. I would ke...

How good are the Pioneer sp-22-LR's At their cost they are wonderful. They do the midrange right, and image very well. Are limited in SPL so won’t deliver loudness in a large room. Have not heard better at there cost. (I put together low cost systems for college students as part of ...
Which amp/preamp/integrated for GoldenEar Triton 5's I have heard some triton models however not the 5s. I thought then to be very good. And had heard they are easy to drive. There are many in your price range to choose from, and, as I am not familiar with the Triton 5...

Short cables for Preout/main in and passive use Yogiboy, yes I have considered this. I do have several cables I could shorten. Can’t help but think there are those factory made for this purpose however. I want to buy used.
Help me identify Kimber speaker cable LOL! Never heard that the transparent/white sounded better, but look better.
Second audio system in your house? I should have said unchanged, not alone.
Second audio system in your house? Vicweast, yea, gives one something to play with/spend on without breaking the bank, and with the exception of minor tweeks I tend to leave my primary system alone.
Second audio system in your house? One thing about spending $1000 on a second system is that you might find out how good one can sound with such an expenditure. I have friends who think nothing about spending $1000 on a TV and won’t spend $500 on audio to augment the experience. Oh...
Vibration Control for Lightweight Tube Components Great Lowrider! I love inexpensive tweeks. |
