First things first.  What are you looking to accomplish with an upgrade?
Docking station for an iphone
What drove my interest in this was that I have a friend who streams Pandora via his iphone. As I am now helping him set up a macbook pro as a music server I will advise him to use that instead. I remain interested in the options for iphone use how...
Vibration Control for Lightweight Tube Components
Lowrider, I have been following this thread and am very interested in hearing the results of any implementations you employ.  My concerns regarding vibrations are primarily directed at draining them from equipment. Thanks!
Can "Refurbished" Thorens turntables sound better, and worth taking a chance on??
I once own the Talisman on a Sonograph TT also. Really liked that cartridge. Still have the Sonograph.
Is it all worth it?
Few Boston acoustics A40s have ever been fed such an “high end’ meal.I believe they were designed to get the midrange right and probably not overly bright for that room..

$800 to spend on speakers, $1500 on whole system
Runnin, though I believe the difference between a $1800 and $1500 system to be marginal, upgrading ones speaker budget from $500 to $800 opens up many possibilities toward improvement, especially on the used market.

I am confident that once I heard then I would agree that the F5s are a great speaker for the money, however I find it hard to believe I would find them to be the ‘best under 2K easily’.
Need small size speakers for fireplace.
Thanks freediver! I haven’t made any moves yet but the Zensor 1s remain on my list. I did replace the Pioneer integrated with a Cambridge 540A which provided a little more power and somewhat more refined.
