Onzow ZeroDust reportedly leaves a residue
When your supposed US stylus cleaner is in operation, do you hear a hum or buzz? If so, it’s probably operating within the audible range of frequencies, not really US. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. IMO, it’s actually safer. Most opera...

The Amazon ad doesn’t miss a trick. It’s a liquid cleaner with a brush. It also includes an”ultrasonic” cleaner with a UV light, What could go wrong?
Looking For A Dialogue Around Using An Ortofon MC2000 In My Current System
Edgeware, I agree with your and Raul’s laissez faire attitude toward tonearm matching, but your logic above is faulty. If one wants to conform to the resonant frequency calculation then one must use a very lightweight tonearm, owing to the relativ...
Onkyo CP 1050 Turntable OPINIONS
Onkyo is a reputable Japanese brand that hasn’t marketed a TT, at least outside of japan, in many years. This TT was made in China. What do you think? I think the association with onkyo is suspect at best. Or, this is an effort by Onkyo to get bac...

Neon, If you are using a SUT into an "MC" phono stage, be very sure that the phono input resistor is 47K ohms, not the more typical 100 ohm range, albeit because the internal resistance of the MC2000 is only 2 ohms, you probably can get away easil...

Yes but all the options are out on the table for you. You can’t find a T2000 but you can obtain a suitable substitute that may even be superior to a T2000. You can source either a SUT or an active gain stage from Intact Audio. Apparently a SUT is ...

Just listen.
Humm from phono but not dc or aux ?
Hum or RF? Two very different things that generally also sound different.

Dave knows more about it than I. It’s solid state with an external power supply. I just plugged it in between the MC2000 and my Manley Steelhead MM inputs with gain set at either 50 or 55 db. There was an attempt at current drive but the input Z, ...
Onzow ZeroDust reportedly leaves a residue
Actually, PL warned a friend of mine who regularly posts on VA that ME leaves tangled fibriles on the stylus and cantilever. PL observed this on a cartridge my friend sent to him for evaluation. I use it nevertheless because I don't see the proble...

Neon, Several points.  (1) Jensen are pros.  They understand transformers and how to build them.  If you have any misgivings about shielding, ask them.  I doubt you would have a problem.  Same goes for Dave Slagle (Intact Audio). (2) The REASON th...
Tonearm effective mass
+1, Raul. In the calculation for effective mass, all mass counts, including the weight of the cartridge itself, the weight of the headshell, and the weight of any hardware.  Thus using heavier than normal screws will increase the calculated effec...

I have already suggested that you contact Intact Audio. Another source for a proper transformer would be Jensen in California. They may be able to custom build you a SUT with a high enough turns ratio to accommodate your MC2000. (Or maybe they eve...
Onzow ZeroDust reportedly leaves a residue
You do have to wonder when a warning comes from one company about using the products of another company in the same field of endeavor.  Albeit, Wally tools do not market a competing stylus cleaner, so far as I know.  If, in fact, they do, then all...
Interesting information from Analog Planet on Stylus Cleaner Onzow Zero Dust.
Mulv, I certainly hope you don’t “scrub” with magic eraser. I use it too, but down on the ME and up off the ME, preferably maintaining a 90 degree orientation of stylus tip to pad seems the only safe method.
