Revel Salons - Do they really sound like this?
"Salons sound like a PA system? I'm outta this thread!"Hyperbole is all too common as people back their favorites.Kal
Revel Salons - Do they really sound like this?
In a room of those dimensions and with the described setup and listening position, toe-in is mandatory. You are sitting off axis and too much HF energy is being absorbed by the sidewall treatment. I have heard them toed-in severely, a la Blumlein,...
What speakers are these?
Gilbert Yeung of BlueCircle did it. He also built the preamp into a matching purse. Long story which he will happily recount.
Anybody heard of GEKKO speakers?

Mccormack DNA-1 Rev. B or DNA 225
I have not used a Rev.B but I found the Rev.A DNA-1 a bit warmer than the DNA225. Conversely, the DNA225 was a bit more incisive. So, it really depends on what you want/need.Kal
