Directionality of wire
The way I see it is we're all looking at this in a classical way, but when dealing with EM fields that propagate at the speed of light in their respective mediums, it's more like relativistic effects. We think the signal is traveling down the wire...
Directionality of wire
Geoff said:"The only portion that’s audible is the portion that’s traveling toward the speakers. That’s why you can hear wire directionality in AC circuits just like DC circuits. Which is what HiFi Tuning and I have been saying all along. "Geo...
Directionality of wire
Doesn't music signal go from the amp's positive to the negative, then from the negative to the positive? This would be an AC signal. The "load" is just a big loop of long wire (speaker plus cables) and the electromagnetic wave changes direction to...
Directionality of wire
Ok, back to your corners guys... Let's say wire has a direction created from the formation of the wire, and in theory will pass the signal better one direction vs. the other. But wait... music signal is all AC, so whichever way you place the wire ...
Tachyons?? Really?
I think elephants use a Teleportation device. Geoff, I wouldn't start throwing too many stones.
Tachyons?? Really?
That's right Geoff... I'm not giving them points for originality either.
Tachyons?? Really?
Since they will probably like the attention I will mention the listing.Listing #  "lis84ibb" is a field generator that uses Tachyons to absorb excess electrons from the ionosphere thereby making electricity more efficient. This is a Brown Alert.
Standing waves
Geoff is right. Have you ever set up your speakers outside? They sound excellent, but just have no volume, or bass. That is what the room provides. It's way more than most people think.
What are some of the downsides of owning a Magneplanar .7 or 1.7i ?
I owned 1.6 and one day someone opened my front door and a gust of wind blew one of the Mags over. So the stock feet are OK, but put some weight on them as well.
Anyone Using Crystals?
Hope is free, until you spend your money on this BS.It may all seem stupid, but there will be someone even stupider that will buy this crap.Ice is a crystal too. Stick some in your amp, and as it melts it will absorb excess heat.
A Big DIY Bang for Your Buck?
Geoff - sorry for the joke. I sent it before I could consider. I hold no animosity toward you, and hope you can accept it as just a quick poke.
A Big DIY Bang for Your Buck?
"My thesis, which was selected to be presented at the national AIAA conference, was on the dodgy subject of bombarding highly magnetized metal with high energy ions to produce low thrust for an engine to be used for interplanetary travel."Is t...
A speaker that looks like a driver or a driver that looks like a speaker?
Making a speaker look like a driver is like building a motel that looks like a bed, or a toll booth in the shape of a dollar sign. Design like that is usually abandoned by the age of 9.
Can Pass XA60.8's drive Revel Ultima Salon2's without their tongues hanging out?
Your room is gonna get so hot that your tongue will be hanging out. Just a little humor... I know it's not that bad.
Your first component that was "special"
Audio Research D-60 Solid State Amp. I eventually got two and ran them in bridged mode. Lots of power, but had to be careful with speaker impedance... which I knew nothing about. They never had a problem though.
