Power Conditioner Advice please...
I wasn't sure, so I just checked the PS Audio site. Their old re generators put out balanced power, but the newer P-3,5,10 do not. Paul feels that balanced power is good, but not from a transformer. Anyway, I'm not looking to butt in here, but sin...

Check out the Montana line for true W M T M W array.
Sonic Tonic fom the Tweek Geek
Ozzy... how would you compare the Sonic Tonic to those small copper resonator things? The ones you made from fly fishing parts. I only ask because I have always respected you opinion (especially on the BSG-QOL) I made some of those resonators, and...
Best Bang For The Buck I've Ever Spent
When Underwoodhifi was selling out the BSG QOL units I picked one up. Without a doubt the biggest improvement in sound for the least amount of money.
Help... my turntable is alive!
Group,Thanks for all the suggestions. I was playing records last night and again, the noise was gone. I'm now thinking the noise is record specific, or at least some records are a catalyst to the noise occurring. Either way I should point out that...

A replacement belt is $170. Not exactly a trivial expense.
Help... my turntable is alive!
Bondmap ... A very thoughtful idea, but I have checked twice. There is no sticky feel to the belt, or the platter anywhere. I could order a new belt, but I don't want to start down the money path until I know I'm at least on the correct path.Thank...
Help... my turntable is alive!
OP here... It seems we are a bit off track. Does it really matter which side of the egg you crack?Upon further examination, it is not a record warp. I am still having the problem even with flat records. My cartridge is not bottoming out. My VTA is...
Help... my turntable is alive!
Well, thank you all for those excellent thoughts. 1. I played a very flat thick 45 RPM record 12" and there was no "heartbeat" at all. Not faster, but rather gone.2. I checked the belt and it looks fine.I'm thinking it was a record warp. Since it ...
Directionality of wire
The way I see it is we're all looking at this in a classical way, but when dealing with EM fields that propagate at the speed of light in their respective mediums, it's more like relativistic effects. We think the signal is traveling down the wire...
Directionality of wire
Geoff said:"The only portion that’s audible is the portion that’s traveling toward the speakers. That’s why you can hear wire directionality in AC circuits just like DC circuits. Which is what HiFi Tuning and I have been saying all along. "Geo...
Directionality of wire
Doesn't music signal go from the amp's positive to the negative, then from the negative to the positive? This would be an AC signal. The "load" is just a big loop of long wire (speaker plus cables) and the electromagnetic wave changes direction to...
Directionality of wire
Ok, back to your corners guys... Let's say wire has a direction created from the formation of the wire, and in theory will pass the signal better one direction vs. the other. But wait... music signal is all AC, so whichever way you place the wire ...
Tachyons?? Really?
I think elephants use a Teleportation device. Geoff, I wouldn't start throwing too many stones.
Tachyons?? Really?
That's right Geoff... I'm not giving them points for originality either.
