B/Ray players, do they all boot up slow?
Thats what I was afraid of. Ya see, I was hoping for "Buy an Oppo. It'll boot up faster than greased lightening". Then I could show the Mrs, this thread and I'd be on my way to some new equipment. There is still time....-John
Krell KSA 300S or FPB 300?
I owned the KSA200S & now own a FPB300cx. I feel the opposite of the above opinions, but not by much. The FPB300 is definatly built better and being newer is the one I would recommend. I also believe the FPB version is a little bit "darker" so...
Kudos to Audio Research
It seems some are missing the original point of the post. The amp owner is giving praise for great product support from the mfg. This stuff is electronics and yes "sh** happens". With all the bagging that we've seen on this site in regards to bad ...
Krell CAST cables...which to buy?
I have been curious about this myself. Does anyone actually know the chronological mfg. order of the CAST cables? I've seen, original, thick, thin, silver, Nordst, MMF, etc...Which came first etc...? Anyone noticed any significant upgrade with a n...

Best Phono Preamp under $300 ?
I used both Yamaha CX1 & CX2 previously and loved them. Iam not sure which, but I believe the CX2 had a button on the back to switch from MM to MC type phono cartridges. Very quiet and appealing pre. They should be fairly cheap on the used mar...

How often do you get a chance to see live music
Well, as long as your asking..This summer Pablo Cruise & the Beach Boyes were playing locally so my wife & I went to see them. Then the next night The Guess Who & Foreigner were playing at the same outside venue so we went to them also...
Do you ever wonder?
Wow did you open a can of worms. All artists have their merits of course. If they are making money somethings gotta be right. BUT as long as your asking, my wife always says, "Rod Stewart sounds like Dinky Duck after taking a hit off the helium ta...
Can You Live With Crackling & Popping Noise?
In response to the titles question. Yes & I almost like it.I can drag out an album I havn't listened to in years & years and remember the pops, ticks and even skips from the 70's 7 80's. Kinda brings back old memories & puts me into pe...
cooling my Krell monoblocks
I believe there was a thread somewhere that some folks loosened the fin bolts a smidgeon and that fixed the clicking sound. I havn't tried it as I just live with it. My FPB300cx clicks only a tad bit and only on occasion so I just leave it alone. ...
