Veracity of albums for sale being "sealed"?
When I buy an older unopened LP, I look around the spindle hole on the label. All my albums have lines where the spindle gently kissed the paper prior to finding the hole.Someone would have to be extremely careful not to make that mark while placi...
has anyone ever listened to a 45lp at 33.3
There was a 45 back in the 60's called "The Martian Hop". I was about 7 or 8 when in came out. I still remember my brother playing at 33rpm and figuring out it was meant to be that way. Sped up and it sounded like a cheapo sci-fi martian. -John

Bands that had a "masterpiece", w/ common theme

What does Uhqr mean concerning records?
They only made a few of them I believe. I own Supertramps "Crime of the Century" & it is a tremendous recording. Seems to differ from the other opinions above.-John

Shelter 501 MkII or Grado Sonata?
I had originally purchased a Grado Platinum, high output version which Grado lists on their website on the same product line. I dont know if yours is the high or low output as Grados descriptions are vague at best. I ended up with the Shelter and ...
Technics SL-1200MK2 or MK5
For some listeners/musicians the pitch device helps out quite a bit if you like to learn riffs. Otherwise it is a giant PIA to change the tuning of your instrument for each album or song. So many songs are recorded a smidgeon off pitch for one rea...
If money were no object, what would be in your rig
How about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders? They could sing like Lucille Ball and I wouldnt say squat.Oh yeah, and some Eagleston Savoy speakers in granite finish, Krell FPB700mcx and assorted other nice-a-tees. All wrapped in a nice big specialy b...
