Pass Lab Amp questions, back of amps, power cable & 12v trigger. Thanks for the clarifications. Makes sense to me. Really hoping to get my Krell amp back. But we shall see. Odd the situation at Krell. In the mean time I will keep my eyes peeled for a Pass X250.? or X350.? located in So Cal so I can pick i...
Pass Lab Amp questions, back of amps, power cable & 12v trigger. I just thought it is odd that the 12v trigger must have the end cut off, striped & then bare wired to the black/ red terminal on the back of the amp. Or is there a 12v receptacle? Sorry I just cannot see from the photos on line how their con...
Pass Lab Amp questions, back of amps, power cable & 12v trigger. My Krell KCT has a 12v trigger that I like to use. It also has a delay which is handy when powering up the system. That way the pre & main amps don't suck a lot of power at the same time. Is the Pass trigger only for pass equipment?
What devices have you found useful when inspecting your stylii for cleanliness? I have a Panasonic FF-394E X30 lighted scope I purchased years ago on a whim. Like a little pocket, lighted microscope. Kind of a cool little gadget for cartridge needle inspection. There are usually a couple on Ebay.
Issue with Krell KSA-250 I had one of those bad babies & had the same issue. I wouldn't turn on again. It needs some serious help. If you can personally deliver in lieu of shipping that would be the best bet. I had mine damaged on the return trip back from service...
Krell Moves to new location "Yags", that's awesome! Can't say I've herd, heerded, hehrd, ah heck, seen that one prior.
Krell Moves to new location That building has several tenants. The fact that it sold has no bearing if any, if the tenants have vacated. If the owner(s) of Krell had owned the building they may have sold and will lease back a unit from the new owners. Why would you say s...
Need recommendation Since I've actually owned both the Bose & Senheiser mentioned above, I second the Bose. I couldn't sell the Senheiser fast enough. Bose also makes some of the best noise canceling headsets for pilots as well. I believe experience trumps h...
Backing up my playlist…. There was a thread on here a few months back and the recommendation was tunemymusic. I used it for my Tidal list backup. Perhaps it will do yours as well. It put the list into a comma delineated type list. I can open it with my notes program ...
Steve Morse pays tribute to Jeff beck Amazing playing and super cool to be able to see so clearly how he plays. I haven't played my Dixie Dregs album in eons. Thanks for reminding me about it.
Do You Have to Play a Component to Warm it Up? Back to the original question/post at hand. My old 70's Sansui 8080 would get hot when cranked for quite a while so I put a muffin fan on it. It certainly helped and everyone noticed the sound didn't flatten out any longer. Sounded good cold th...
Spades vs. Banana plugs ?? devinplombier posted "- What happened to old-fashioned ring connectors and nut-and-bolt posts? They provide superior clamping force, and ring connectors aren't slipping off or pulling out ever. Seems they would make sense when cable gauge, stiff...
Help - is Krell dead? As I noted in the other Krell post, I have my amp there for caps/service. When I spoke with the service rep prior to shipping the unit, he quoted 10-12 weeks. Which (being in aerospace) I took as 14-16 weeks, maybe. I shipped the unit in April ...
Anybody here buy a cartridge from 'highendbroker' ? Just to add 2juki on Ebay is definitely good people. This is from personal experience not hearsay. -John
Anyone at home at Krell? Thanks for the update cleeds. I have an amp there for capacitor(s) and service. Been there since mid April. I will say though that the service department's phone mailbox has been full for months. Email is the way. Takes a bit for a reply bu... |
