What Horn loaded speaker/ speaker system for $10k'ish and under I own the JBL 4367 and use subs high-passed at 60hz but feel they are pretty good without the subs. I already owned the subs. Anyway I have demoed the current LaScala and Cornwall IV several times. I feel like the JBL is a better speaker. It i...
Speaker that are 'KEEPERS" for the long haul!!! For me the JBL 4367 with subs has stopped me from looking at speakers. I don’t even look at the items for sale. Well that is not true I am on the look out for 3 more 4367 or 4349 for a 5.1.4 system. I feel the 4367 does everything as well as any s...
Do Your Speakers have LEVEL CONTROLS or EQUALIZERS? (Vintage or Modern) ??? Yes my JBL 4367 have 2db of adjustment in the mids and an additional 2db in the highs. Honestly it makes the speaker work. 0.5db is audible for sure in the highs. Every speaker should have adjustments.
JBL 708p vs Buchardt S400 mkII with i150 integrated I have never heard either but the measurements or the 708p is pretty good, it is also adjustable. the new crop of compression drivers JBL is using is pretty good. The JBL 2409H in the 708P is a step above the HDI line but only a single diaphragm. ...
What speaker could safely be ordered without hearing it first? I bought my last last speakers unheard and they are the best I have owned. Trust the measurements, they will point you in the right direction.
BEST ON WALL/IN WALL SPEAKERS? JBL was the best from this test. For cost no object I would look at perlisen’s inwalls too. https://youtu.be/dPCZJmivufs https://youtu.be/nZAokQVOFlo
Distance from rear wall for KEF LS50 W2 All speakers should be less than 39” from the front wall or more than 7’ off the front wall based on the speed of sound. Panels and speakers with cardioid bass are the exception. This has always worked for me with every speaker. I have a big room ...
Would Luxman work well with JBL? Music direct often has open boxes of 4367s for around $10,000 give or take. I will be interested to hear what you think of the Klispch and JBL back to back. I demoed the entire Klispch line (a friend owns the K-horns too) before buying the JBL...
Would Luxman work well with JBL? I can’t help with Luxman but don’t let anyone talk you out of the 4367. It is simply an amazing speaker. Never harsh or bright, super detailed in the bass, mids and outstanding in the highs. A really special speaker.
Wilson Alexia V seating distance I would just do what you like. I don’t follow my JBL manual. They want them pointed straight ahead close together (8’-9’) and back farther (10-12’) but I have them at 10’ wide and 10’ back, toed in. Following the manual’s setup I felt like I lost ...
Wilson Alexia V seating distance If you go wider (closer to the speakers and wider apart) you will need to toe them in more and the sweet spot gets smaller. For a single seat it is honestly fine to have them wide. No real harm but the sweet spot will be tiny if you get too wide. ...
JBL 4367 = Sleep Denervation Mijostyn, I have looked at the miniDSP SHD. It is much cheaper than other options. Do you feel there is any resolution loss with it? Think the output stage is good enough? It complicates my home theater pass through as I would have to use the ana...
Pre-Meta KEF Reference 1 or LS50 Meta Hands down Reference 1. No contest.
JBL 4367 = Sleep Denervation Phusis, thanks for the insightful comments. I believe you are correct on all aspects.
JBL 4367 = Sleep Denervation Roxy, the interesting thing is I don’t feel like I have given up anything compared to a tradition box speaker to get the added benefits. I have almost no horn experience before this (PA systems and Klispch speakers). I never thought I would en... |
