Dedicated Line - Things to consider
I never could understand why you would need to separate the wires when they all come together for at least some distance to go into the main panel or sub panel.
Compare Bob Carver Black Magic 25 and Rogue Stereo 100?
The OP asks which to choose over 2 different tube amps and gets a class D recommendation. Go with the Rogue, carver has had some problems recently.
I have found out why new cables and tweaks actually work!
I never noticed speaker cables sounding different, until I built a dedicated room and bought some apogee duetta 2 speakers, there really is a big difference between speaker cables.
Don Sachs Owners Thread
I'm pretty sure that Roy used John Broskie’s buffer stage, Broskie is the real genius.
Powered speakers show audiophiles are confused
There is no such thing as accuracy in audio, everything from the microphone to the playback speakers changes the sound .
The revolution has begun!
you have to be kidding me, no transistors, not even in the digital front end or DAC as you call it, how can this be?
Audiophile Grade Wall Receptacle
@secretguy  what would transmission lines have to do with it? Transmission lines are a lot higher voltage, maybe you mean distribution lines.
Power cable dilemma
The pangea power cords are either 14awg or 7awg I don't know why they call it an ac 9
life span/failure rate of filter capacitors?
Depends on a lot of variables, size of the capacitor (larger caps don't get hot as quickly as small caps) if it's placed near hot areas of the amp and quality of the capacitor. Most of the really large caps of high quality usually last a lot longe...
Power cable dilemma
Are you using the single ended inputs or balanced inputs? If single ended inputs are you using the shorting straps between pins 1 and 3?
Perception and Watts: Doubling of power
I have a krell ksa 300s amp with that circuit in it. There is no lag time, the bias circuit works totally different than the old sliding bias circuits.
Advantage using one electrical leg for audio system?
The ground buss bars on either side of the breakers are connected, so how can there be two separate grounds.
Advantage using one electrical leg for audio system?
If you have already listened to the system and don't detect any noise or ground loops, I wouldn't worry about it.
Does anyone know of a repair service for Lamm amplifiers?
@jasonbourne52  I think he would need step down transformer, not step up transformer.
Perception and Watts: Doubling of power
Damping factor doesn’t do much after a certain level, my friend has the adcom gfa 656 monoblocks that have a way higher damping factor then my krell ksa 300s, but the krell blows them away in dynamics and bass impact.I think power supply has more ...
