AQ Firebird vs Hurricane Power Cord Comparo
Thanks for agreeing.Though I have to say, the degree of 'improvement' is going to be fairly small considering how close to the upper limits you are now enjoying. My other 2 cents says, unless you have unlimited funds to pursue your dream, it makes ...
AQ Firebird vs Hurricane Power Cord Comparo
Though I understand wanting to know if there are differences, considering how your cables are not run through, I , personally, would not consider thinking of the other choices until everything settles in. I do understand that you want to have the ...
Does anyone pay the same attention to their car audio?
Newer models, especially German cars have very specific wiring needs. Adding additional/different speakers can mess up the electronic balance and end up causing all sorts of warnings popping up.My Audi TTS has the B&O sound system. It has to b...
Dual vs single sub
One question concerning 4 subs-How are they connected to the amp?Stacked spades/bananas?Seems like a lot of hardware to me.B
Question about streamer to "serve" 2 systems
How about some Bluesound Node’s?I use them to connect my office (2nd floor) to my main system (LR 1st floor). They use wireless connections. The newest model can utilize the 5ghz band. (But, added a Netgear adapter to-utilize the 5ghz network-to my...

Is there an affordable long run XLR preamp to amp cable out there?
I needed a long run (25 feet) and Ralph at Atma-Sphere sold me a set at a very decent price.B
new equipment power conditioner or more powerful amp?
I would add a dedicated line first. It shouldn't cost very much, either.Bob

Get a pair of McCormack amps and have them upgraded. SMc Audio can just about anything. And, you could do a lot with $5K.Bob

+1 for Vandy VLR's.I owned a pair of Zu Omen Bookshelves, but the Vandies leave them in the dust.Bob
Is There a Speaker for Me/Impossible Requirements? (budget: $2000)
@OP,Vandy's sound good at just about any sound level.Someone recommended the 1ci's. I would also recommend the VLR's.I have them in my office, mounted near the ceiling (my desk is almost underneath them)with a pair of Hsu subs.I find them very lis...
Technology in speakers....
@OP, Another Vandy nut here.Quatro's, would be my choice- unless I had a huge room.I own the Treo's with a pair of 2wq subs- so I have about 85% of a Quatro.Bob
