TW-Acustic Arm Dirtonarm,I find it contradictory that you are advocating from TW as follows, "What I would have expected and would have liked to see in a tonearm asking $6k is something new, something unusual or at least something more creative."Then again, you ...
TW-Acustic Arm Peter,I happen to like Raul. He has his biases but it isn't about product but more about synergy and design. He is transparent enough about them and has helped many here with wonderful advise. But if such an event does ever happen, how about in pe...

Avid acustus reference vs TW acustic raven AC3 I have heard good things about the UltraEminent BC. Can you tell us some more. I have owned the original MSL Eminent & the PC1 which would be a wonderful reference point if you have owned them.
Koetsu Blue Lace Onyx vs. Coralstone There is a review somewhere of one of the Blue Stone Koetsu's. I recently had it emailed to me. I think it is online. The reviewer compared the Urushi, Tiger Eye and something blue. But I forget. He then mentioned how the Coral Stone is something ...
TW-Acustic Arm It is a true 10.5 inch arm w. is a bit longer than most of the arms mentioned here. It can be purchased w. adjustable VTA on the fly. All the parts are purpose built and the build quality is said to be very high. There are a few very nice unique f...

Active Speaker Recommendation B&H won't have them to listen to but I can pick them up easily enough. Heard some Adam speakers. Very high end but wasn't so impressed. I am definitely going to listen.
Active Speaker Recommendation Thanks to everyone for the recommendations. I am going to use it for a fairly large space & will be stand mounting the speakers. I won't be using them as a desktop system (I wish, but way too many phone calls). That being said, these all sound...
Active Speaker Recommendation I like the VXT 6 design. How is the sound? Price is right. It takes an RCA on the rear? Love to see the rear pictures. Looks like I need XLRs out of the Apple TV which I doesn't have. What do you do? JBLs look nice as well but the porting as you m...
Upgrade from TW Acustic Raven AC-3 to what? The Black Night does not use a teflon trust plate, but considering the 1-2 gm force of stylus I don't get the sponginess of an teflon trust pad once compressed. I wouldn't understand it w. an air bearing as well. The only issue w. an air bearing w...
Looking for former Hales System 2 owners feedback I still have mine w. the Muse 18 sitting in my garage. Currently listening to Maxx IIs. You can see my system page. The shortcomings listed above are all correct. But for the money at the time they were a nice value.
Coltrane's A Love Supreme and Davis's Kind of Blue You asked which Mingus,Well Mingus Mingus Mingus the Black Saint & Lady Killer are my 2 favorites. Love them above & beyond & sound quality is amazing. I rate all my LPs and few get the Amazing and these did.
RMAF and VTL From what I know the new 5.5 is at its best driving tube amps but will be fine driving SS amps. The 6.5 will show a step above with SS amps as the impedance spec is different and can drive longer cables etc. |
