| New Oppo DV-980H Just set up a small system for a friend using the Oppo 981 for DVD/CD. Running it through an Assemblage 2.0 upgraded version with Onkyo receiver and Focal speakers. Very respectable 2 channel at that level with help from the DAC. | |

| Midrange Better Than Harbeth or Spendor? Really, the ATCs are so fine. I like Harbeth and Spendor alot, but the midrange of ATCs is less nasal and more open. Downside is the ATCs are VERY critical to source and amplification. | |

| Tough choice for a new setup, please look The CEC is ugly and exceptional as a transport. I don't know if it's the belt drive or just the assembly, but it does sing with an external DAC which would smoke the other players. |
