How do you know if a cable is neutral? It's from Sweden.
Inexpensive Integrated for GMA Europas Luxman 491 integrated is oft overlooked. Tube preamp section with 90 wpc SS power section. This amp is quick, very musical and has the muscle to easily drive the Europas. About $350 used. Tubes will last for 5 years with normal use and should actu...
Rega Brio, Enough Power? I would say no. I've owned the Brio and while very good for the money, not enough juice regardless of claimed efficiency. I've sold Snell E speakers in the past and they like more.
How do you fix an ''out of print'' scratched CD ? LAT International C Diamond has cured this on some discs. About $12 and if it doesn't cure it you can use it for its original use of enhancing reproduction by stopping laser scatter.

CD's for auditioning The most difficult to reproduce correctly are female vocals and acoustic piano. Take good recordings of these along and find out how many pieces of equipment are embarrassed. Diana Krall recordings cover both of these aspects.
best concert venue Sheldon Hall in St. Louis, MO. About 400 capacity and used also as a recording studio as the acoustics are that good.

bought a linn axis with basic arm...good cart. Stay with high compliance carts such as Ortofon. Love Grados, but they won't work well in this application.
small room speakers I've owned 2 pr. of Rogers LS3/5As and agree with what has been said. However, technology marches on and I would give the new small Spendor the nod with quicker and punchier response. Bass is less muddled. Still love the classic.
I Hardly Listen to Music Anymore Nobody mentioned live music. Can one live from recorded only performance? I think not. A balance should be struck with live music feeding the urge for reliving the experience with recorded and recorded feeding the desire to find the artist live.
LS 3/5 To my knowledge, ProAc does not make an LS 3/5A. The genuine article has to do with licensing from the BBC and meeting certain manufacturing parameters of quality and specifications. Up for debate as to best vintage and manufacturer. Generally, th...
