Phono stage w/automatic Load-Impedanance.
Czarivey - I'm with you. No SUT, just a silent high-gain mc input stage. Chakster - Are you in any way associated with the company or designer that produces this unit?

There's ONLY one parameter that counts. So, how does it sound?
Soundsmith Phono-Pre, Any comments?
The SoundSmith phono stage can probably get the cartridge to sound as good as it can. There are likely better phono staqes available, but not voiced for the SoundSmith carts.

I have not heard any phono pre-amp better than a Herron, but they are in a different price range. You might be able to find a used Herron VTPH-1 in the market. If it is a MC unit, Herron could convert it to MM/high output. Then you wouldn't have t...

I don't have a financial interest in Herron Audio components. You have a FINANCIAL INTEREST. That's the difference. I can describe what I hear honestly and without FINANCIAL INTEREST in the business, just an enjoyment of music.I can own any compon...

It appears more that you are saying the articles are from the maker, not that you're self-promoting. But you're still promoting your own products. That's completely unethical on a forum like this. I don't think I would ever do business with someon...

But you're promoting your own products. That is a clear conflict of interest. You should only be here to offer technical support advice like Jon Carr instead of hawking your products. Shameful self-interest.

The information provided indicated that PBN (Pbnaudio?) is the manufacturer of the B2B-1 unit.
Solid core phono interconnect - Recommend Please
Pani - Try contacting Keith Herron directly. He is very approachable and great to work with.

Additional mass can be added to the arm to help stabilize a low compliance mc cart. The AT OC9/II LOMC will work on the arm. It has a higher compliance that other LOMC carts. IMO, the compliance is higher than stated. YMMV.

Dynavector and Benz have some decent HOMC carts.

I've been using Herron Audio interconnects with very good results. Fluid and transparent. No filtering. No peakiness like with silver. No bloated sound. Just very smooth and detailed. Just the music.I can't say if they are prone to RF or other noi...

Pbnaudio - you wouldn't have a conflict of interest with the B2B-1 would you?

I've been using a Herron VTPH-2 for a while. I haven't heard anything as good, nothing better. Prior to the VTPH-2, I was using a VTPH-1mc. It was excellent, but not up to the VTPH-2. As I said, I haven't heard anything as good as a VTPH-2. The VT...
