How long do you or should you keep your gear.
I just skimmed the article but the gist I got was that the author equated audio technology with that of computers.     Whatever.
Returning damaged item to seller....
He should pay for shipping imo; however, be aware he’s more than likely out all the money, plus the money it’ll cost to get it shipped back and end up with a broken item unless he had the shipper pack and box because insurance won’t pay for damage...
Listening to music I don’t particularly like
I used to, sort of. A few decades back I used to try and get the recordings the reviewers used and raved about in doing the reviews of equipment.  I then realized their musical tastes and mine were on different planets. I only listen to music I ...
Is Pretty Good Good Enough? Listening Habits In The World Of Streaming Services.
I stream Qobuz and Tidal (I think hifi?) through the older PS Audio DAC with Bridge II and I find the sound quality to be excellent.  Way better than “good enough”.
How do you get Happy as an Audiophile?
It’s when you care about the equipment and also when you don’t. Unless you can stop caring about the equipment once you start listening to the music you’ll never be happy.
How much gear do you own?
OK.  So I’m already starting to back-track my decision.  Maybe I’ll “keep” the gear that’s difficult to replace should I ever decide to get it again but still dump the majority of the stuff.
Have you ever been turned off by an Arrogant Dealer? Thoughts
Yes. Luke Manley pissed me off so much in a conversation many years ago that I (regrettably) sold a pair of his Tiny Tots immediately afterwards.     Not so much so, however, that I held onto the MB125s.
How much gear do you own?
I'm envious of those with the minimilist lifestyle.   I currently own 28 pairs of speakers.  Twenty-nine if I count the desktop AudioEngines.  And most of them are mid to higher end stuff, and they all sound pretty good in my room. I think my tr...
How much gear do you own?
I figured I wasn't alone in my misery.  😉 I live with just my teenage son in a house so I haven't been blessed with the more intelligent of us giving proper guidance on what toys not to buy.  Or questioning why certain rooms and closets have fore...
How important is it to have identical speaker cable length?
Anything more than about a 4" difference in length will smear the center image. If you're ok with that, go for it.And by '4"' I meant 400 feet.
Best Way To Maximize Preamp Tube Life?
I can't actualy think of a time tubes wore out, ever.  I've had tubes go bad, but it always happened to a single tube and not the set.  If the tubes went from use, I would think they (same type/brand used as a pair or more) would burn out roughly ...

Simple, Inexpensive, but Decent Headphone System
Not much experience with closed cans, but agree 100% audioguy85.The AKGs are great!  Comfortable, great sound, easily driven by a DAP or phone.
One-stop solution for vacuum record cleaner?
A year old thread...oh, well. For anyone looking for a no rinse cleaner, L'Art Du Son has received great reviews.I've had some before.  It cleans records, but I don't buy into all the BS the maker claims.
AUDIO RESEARCH VS VTL
Unfortunately, there is no "king". It all depends on all your associated gear, room and preferences.I’ve never owned an AR amp, only a pre. I have owned the MB-125 (first gen) and absolutely loved those monos. Sold them, missed them a few years la...
