At This Time Can We Recreate Full Range Live Music In The Home?
No be my answer.  No friggin' way to be exact. The real question is who would even want to create a live band in their listening room?  Even a simple acoustic guitar played eight fert away is loud.  I want something that sounds good to my ears in m...
Analogue Productions announces May 21st release of ultimate Kind Of Blue LP
I don't know why people keep rebuying KOB in every new and improved format.  Count me out.  I've already got far too many copies (yeah, I know.  I was one of those who kept rebuying.)The tapes are 60+ years old.  I can't imagine it hasn't degraded...
When did you most enjoy the music?
I think nostalgia and fond memories of friends and girlfriends adds to the recollection of just how much we enjoyed our music of our youth.  Just music with no concern for how it was delivered to us.Yep.  I get it.My favorite sound of any stereo I...

Habituation to system changes: the Audiophiles' curse...
I'm the same, but I feel it a blessing.  I initially hear a difference.  Sometimes better and other times not, but my ears almost immediately adjust and I'm back to just enjoying the tunes. That's why I don't tube roll.

Definitely lonely to be an audiophile
Audiophiles setting up their listening room so others can enjoy the music, as well.  What's that about!?!
members and their systems
Food is overrated.
Sound quality of Newer versus Older speakers
The oldest speakers I own are the Spica TC-50s, which are probably about 25 years old.  Properly set up, they sound about as good as any speaker I own, and I own quite a few.  I agree with the above-poster about speaker technology not having chang...
