Nietzsche and Runaway Audio Consumption
I thoroughly enjoy philosophy & Theology. But I absolutely hate to read philosophers/theologians interpretation  of them because they so often write a full page about something which could have been written more simply & understandable in ...
Putting listening ability to rest - privately
Best done without any headphones or highly resolving speakers for those who don’t want an ego boost with aural prosthetics, and like their truth served straight up ; ) - best listened to on just your computer built-ins.   Sure. I'll even use t...
Merry Christmas from the family!
I first learned of Robert Earl Keene through a song he wrote that I have on a Joe Ely CD. That song "The Road Goes On Forever (& The Party Never Ends) is quite profound IMO. The OP song is typical country....some may call it outlaw country. A...
The Boss is the Bo$$
i never understood the allurement of Bruce. And I certainly disagree that he saved R&R.  I remember hearing him when he 1st came out. OK at best IMO. Buying vinyl in lots back in the early 00's I acquired several of his. I've tried to listen bu...
RIP oregonpapa
Wow! I was just getting ready to message Frank ( oregonpapa) and saw this thread when my tablet screen lit up. He had left a message about something I had posted. But he left his comment on my system page. Considering the comments, this is somewha...
New turntable
VPI is always a good choice IMO. Then I also have to throw Origin Live in as well. Their arms play well beyond their price range. I suspect the TT's do also. They used to be awkward to set up but I believe they have changed that now. VPI Prime 21 ...

You should be fine with your choice of the Hana. This especially since you have done your research I assume this includes end user reviews The Phono stage has 67db gain which is good for the cart output. Sure there are other good choices available...
Wharfedale Elysian 4 Sensitivity 92dB (2.83V @1m)
120wpc is plenty of power. I'd look at the volume/gain controls on all the equipment & software
Introspective of this forum: "Does the Audiophile Community Have a Promlem?" I Say yes!!!
I've found that if you look for and expect bad from others, you will find it. We all have it. But conversely, if you look for and expect good from others, you will likely find that too. Sure, there are exceptions.. But generally this is true. Whe...
Merry Christmas to Me.....New tonearm on the way
@nrenter    Iirc OL was one of the recommended arm for the Teres. Congratulations on the Enterprise. I kick myself for allowing one to slip by me last year. But finding info for that arm is also near impossible. Fwiw I now realize just how good ...
Why recordings made before 1965 sound better.
In the 70's & 80's I was highly involved with recording my albums on cassette. I did this mostly for my cars & trucks because I loved to listen while driving. I used good Teac 3 head machines and my tapes always sounded much better than an...
