Do I need a sut? In my experience once you get to cartridge out puts this low it's pretty much impossible not to use an SUT. Maybe I just haven't tried the right active device.
This is for Georgehifi especially but others can chime in. How do you quote somebody in this forum now?
This is for Georgehifi especially but others can chime in. @cleeds I agree completely. But, for example, when the same poster repeats the same few claims again and again, and insists that those who disagree provide data, and accuses those who disagree with believing in "magic," it’s pretty clear there’s a...
Is powerfull Amps only for low sensitivity speakes? @sfroth good point about inefficient speakers hiding noise. Another thing they hide along with that low noise is micro detail.
Do I need a sut? Also the Herron has two configurations as far as gain goes. You just have to switch the Tubes from 12at7 to 12 a X7 to make it the higher gain version. I'm not sure which configuration you have.
Do I need a sut? Hi Jeff,Don't sweat it, just get the sUTand try it. As long as you didn't overpay you should be able to get it out of it unscathed if you want to. Raul just hates SUTs in general and Tubes as well so I wouldn't give him too much credibility. H...
Do I need a sut? I don't know that SUT in particular but fidelity research is known for making very fine stuff. And as somebody else mentioned it is very saleable should you not like it. And the reason why it is very saleable is because it is very good.
Shugaung BT 181V I have had a pair of the Sophia's and one blew. That is typical for Sophia Tubes, in my experience they just aren't reliable. They do sound good but don't stand the test of time. Not to mention they are just rebranded TJ Tubes that you're payin...
Would love some feedback / Denon DL-S1 / phono match / cart recomendations And I do want to say that I have heard solid-state systems that sounds quite good but Raul's insistence on screeching about tubes being inferior just gets under my skin. Anyone who preaches in absolutes in this hobby is mislead.
Would love some feedback / Denon DL-S1 / phono match / cart recomendations Another linkhttp://www.theaudioarchive.com/TAA_Resources_Tubes_versus_Solid_State.htmYes
Would love some feedback / Denon DL-S1 / phono match / cart recomendations For other folks with an open mind here's a good link to a post from an electronic engineerhttp://www.effectrode.com/signal-tubes/vacuum-tubes-and-transistors-compared/here's a question for you Raul, which is the faster switching device, the vacuum...
Would love some feedback / Denon DL-S1 / phono match / cart recomendations Raul please talk with tube designer and come back and share what you learn. Oh I forgot you can never learn anything because you already know it all! I would be more than happy to host anyone and do an A B comparison against any spectral amplif...
Would love some feedback / Denon DL-S1 / phono match / cart recomendations @fsmithjack do yourself a favour and don't listen to Raul . He comes across as an expert as he has nothing better to do than sit in front of his computer all day and respond. Just because you say something over and over and over and over and over...
Would love some feedback / Denon DL-S1 / phono match / cart recomendations Raul are you crazy?! The otl specs you listed go beyond the limits of human hearing by far in both directions. Total harmonic distortion may be a bit higher than your piece of crap solid-state but it is composed of even order harmonics not odd o...
Full detailed sound at 30 - 40 - 50 dB @chakster atmasphere is too much of a gentleman to recommend his own amplifiers but those specifications are begging for a pair of M60s or an S30. I have altec 604Es with those exact specifications and they are sublime with a pair of M 60s |
