Question .. I hear a loud pop through speakers every couple minutes when playing vinyl I run 4 tables and have always noticed I get a lot of static with only my vpi TNT. The other day I grounded my bearing to the phono pre and that seems to have worked well.
Ayre QB-9...listening impressions I had one and they do sound great but I got sick of dealing with the stupid computer when I wanted to listen to music. Now I just have an older high-end Sony CD player and usually go mainly with vinyl
Diana Krall I like her music a lot and really like that live in Paris album. However sometimes I feel like I'm at an audio show when I listen to her music. I feel it's far over played at those types of locations.
Opinions requested Very good explanation but I believe you have it backwards. I thought that a capacitive load required more current to drive? I'm not 100% on that though as the memory banks are a little foggy and I'm getting old LOL
Pick A Tube Phono Preamp, but not just any Tube Phono Preamp If you already have a line stage then out of that list I would go with the allnic. If you dont I would go with the audible illusions.
Room color opinions It is scientifically proven that if you remove one of your senses the others are heightened. So by having your room dark your effectually removing your sense of sight and heightening your aural senses.
Analogue-free system Nothing worthwhile is ever easy.....Digital is definitely more convenient
Upgrading my SET amplifiers? Holy cow there is no way your going to get 40hz out of a pair of 755s! Not even 15db down.
Trying vinyl, need some help! It’s true the Denon 103r is not the be all end all but it is amazingly musical for the money. Then you can always take the upgrade path.
Would love some feedback / Denon DL-S1 / phono match / cart recomendations Ok Raul, I’ll buy your argument that passive parts have improved. Tube electronics use those same passive parts so they would have improved as well as SS. You still never filled us in on your qualifications?as cleeds pointed out your rebuttal lack...
Analogue-free system My analog source sounds like analog my digital sounds like digital. Which one one of those is a compliment?ive been reading for 20 years how digital has finally caught up with analog....maybe someday it will actually happen.
Is powerfull Amps only for low sensitivity speakes? I have heard great sounding systems with both very efficient speakers and not so efficient speakers. But I do feel that with dynamic drivers if you go below around 90 DB you cannot get the really really great sound. No matter how much power you ...
additional processing and customs charges on goldring 1006 or nagaoka mp150 Regarding coreless flux cartridges I have a fidelity research MC 201 that I believe has such an arrangement. As well as an astatic Mf100. Are they pretty much the same as that newer red Sparrow? They are both fantastic performers.
Do I need a sut? That's what Raul does. Apparently him and a friend came up with a solid-state phonostage so now all tubes are crap and backwards technology. He focusses on the fact that the specifications of solid-state are better than Tubes regarding frequency ...
Would love some feedback / Denon DL-S1 / phono match / cart recomendations Oh gosh Raul your so smart!!! I had no idea!! Let me get this straight, anything that doesn't fit with your way of thinking is "ignorant and stupid". Thanks for your enlightenment, oh wise one… What are your qualifications again?? |
