Your favourite Christmas song.......

I know not everybody out there are as fortunate as some of the members here but thought I would add a little cheer to the forum with this topical thread.

Post your fave Xmas song whether it has sentimental attachment or just plain makes you smile, they are all welcome.

Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade gets my vote for just being so cheesy it makes me want to dance!

Don’t have a fovorite song, per se, but DO have favorite versions of classic songs: here are a few:

Rudolf: the temptations
Frosty: the ventures
Winter Wonderland: Ramsey Lewis Trio
Sleigh Ride: Boney James
Silent Night: Brian Culbertson
Santa is Comin To Town: Bill Evans or Phil Spector
Auld Lang Syne: Beach Boys acapella version
Carol of the Bells: David Benoit
Christmas Song: Al Jarreau
O Christmas Tree: Vince Guaraldi Trio
Father Christmas: The Kinks
This Christmas: The Whispers

etc etc....
Bob Dorough/Miles Davis - Blue Xmas

Probably not exactly a classic, but it should be. Always makes me smile.
I've always enjoyed playing the 12 tracks on Kenny Burrell's "Have Yourself a Soulful Little Christmas" recorded in 1966.  Just played it today in fact ;-)
Elvis-Blue Christmas

My wife's cousin, a phenomenal tenor, singing O Holy Night in our church every Christmas eve.

Joy to the World. Same church. On 100 year old pipe organ (recently refurbished to the tune of $100,000) played by a good friend (possibly the best organist I've ever heard) who is my age and has been our organist for 25 years.
Probably the highest grossing Christmas song of the modern era. And for the best cause possible.

Do They Know Its Christmas ... Band Aid.
1984. Sir Bob Geldof , his finest hour imho.

slow:  The Christmas Song, Nat King Cole
fast:  Jingle Bell Rock, Randy Travis  (if you haven't heard this, check it out)
At home we usually listen to the classics from the 40's and 50's with Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole etc. I like all those.

My wife likes the Mitch Miller sing-a-long albums which she remembers from her childhood. I can't stand them.
Tbh, generally I cannot stand traditional Christmas songs, does that make me a heathen...lol.

Fortunately nobody else in the house can either.

So without further ado, one that just makes me cringe and howl with laughter.

The Goodies and Father Christmas Do Not Touch Me.

We used to watch the Goodies on PBS decades ago. Loved them. Kind of a cross between Benny Hill and Monty Python.
Sorry, but neither my wife or I are fans of Christmas Songs.  If I had to pick one I guess it would be “Silent Night”

Today is Christmas Eve, and there is no more appropriate question than "What is your favorite Christmas song?

Nat King Cole; "The Christmas Song",

Don't really have a favorite, but here's one that's definitely nontraditional, and for some strange reason I always seem to listen to it at least once due to my own actions, but it always makes me smile.

Not a fan of christmas music either but for a slightly different take on some traditional tunes  , A Dave Brubeck Christmas.
Nice tunes!
Had to go spin a few of them.
Annoyed the wife.... Lol
So well worth it!

"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)". Produced by Phil Spector, sung magnificently by Darlene Love.
