Where is your favorite place to order newly released vinyl. The 180g releases and such. Amazon seems to now be charging above list on some releases. I sometimes order from Music Direct but I am looking for other options.
Acoustic Sounds packs the vinyl with great care. I've ordered about 100 new albums from them with no problems, no bent or crushed corners or covers. I believe it is because of their unique slanted packaging. Cannot say the same for Music Direct although I use MD when Acoustic Sounds doesn't have what I'm looking for.
I appreciate everyones suggestions. I did not know about Sound Stage Direct. They look very interesting and they have free shipping. I did know about Acoustic Sounds and Music Direct. But this gives me another option. Thanks!
AVOID USED LPS AT EBAY UNLESS YOU TRUST THE SOURCE. NEARLY EVERYTIME I ORDERED A USED LP GRADED NEAR MINT IT ARRIVES IN LESS THAN NM CONDITION. I WRITE AND ASK FOR A PARTIAL REUND OR RETURN AND GET ACCUSED OF LYING AND TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE. PATHETIC.
I like all of the above venders but Soundstage Direct has maybe been the most impressive. The free shipping for orders over $29.99 is great. I also find their inventory to be maybe the most complete. Also, in my opinion, they do the best packing of the lot.
Dustygroove.com Fantastic collection of jazz, blues, funk, and fusion. Great prices, well packaged shipping, and really nice people to deal with. I have no affiliation with them, other than being a happy customer.
I second Dusty Groove. I have bought a lot both new and used LPs and have been pleased with my purchases. Very fast shipping. Their grading of used LPs is very fair. I also have had good luck with Music Direct and Acoustic Sounds (only bought new vinyl).
I had vaguely remembered Soundstage Direct, but when someone mentioned that your shipping is free for orders of $29.99 or more, I decided I would give them a try.
