Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Temporary things taking up space..... Dead Sara.

Nothing much to not like about this band imho.
What a great recording for anyone starting off with jazz. Beats the pants off @the Pawnshop for showing off your rig. Cheap on Discogs.
Buddy Tate, Al Grey ‎– Just Jazz

Not sure why this album is so despised even by Grace herself!

Knee Deep in the Hoopla... Starship
Right now listening to the House Of Hair with Dee Snyder on my FM HD Tuner.  For those who aren't familiar, it is a 3 hour segment on the Hair Bands of the 80's.
@uberwaltz...…………………..

When my wife ans I first got married in 1977, we saw the Starship twice. I  saw the Airplane 2 times in the late 60's with a girlfriend, way before I got married.
@stereo5

Great show by Dee Snyder....talk about king of the hair bands!

One of my fave radio stations in the car on XM is Hair Nation.

Early Starship and Jefferson is pretty different from the 80,s onwards.
Grace really was the queen of San Francisco.

Stanley Clark, "Stanley Clark & Friends Live At The Greek

Pink Floyd, "The Wall" MFSL

Nirvana, "Incestiside"

Nirvana, "Bleach"

Roger Waters, "Is This The Life We Really Want"

I have listened to this Roger Waters disk 8 times in it’s entirety and still don’t get it or like it. IMHO, I classify it as a stinkeroo and won’t be playing it again. I would rather watch mold grow.

Not all of Waters output is worthy I agree.

I am not a big fan of "Amused to death" either.

But Radio Kaos? Oh yes......
Been slaving away jet washing the drive in the Florida sun for 5 hours straight!

Now some relaxation with a cassette double header.

Journeyman.... Eric Clapton
No Jacket Required... Phil Collins
Today was a Godsmack kind of day.

Godsmack, "Godsmack"
Godsmack, "Awake"
Godsmack, "Faceless"
Godsmack, "The Other Side"
Godsmack, "When Legends Rise"
@stereo5

I was never a huge Godsmack fan but their latest album "when legends Rise" is killer! So then revisited 1000hp, which is pretty stout too.

And I knew there was another band at Rockville we saw...lol. It was these guys!
I am a Jack White fan. His solo of Dead Leaves in the Dirty Grass on SNL took my breath away, just electrifying. I could not get to sleep I was so pumped by it. But Lazaretto is the first time I have seen him imitate others, and it is sad.
uberwaltz or stereo5
regarding the new Godsmack release, is this the original line up?Happy Listening!
As above-Clapton- Journeyman is an outstanding disc! His best in  a long time leading up to 1989.
@jafant

I am pretty sure the same lineup for Godsmack since about 2003 or so.

They are also touring this year with Shinedown, might have to catch that one too.
CSN&Y, "Deja Vu"
Audioslave, "Cochise"
Radiohead, "Pablo Honey"
Disturbed, "Disturbed"
Tool, "Opiate"
The Cars, "Move Like This"
Allman Brothers, "Into The Mystic" 12/3/2011 Orpheum Theater Boston, MA
Derek Trucks on slide, Warren Haynes on lead and vocals, the incomparable Gregg Allman on B3, and a super band doing justice to an awesome song by Van Morrison
@stereo5

Very nice list!

You and I have very similar tastes in music my friend.

Keep them coming.
