Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Matthew Sweet - Girlfriend. Zoo 1991

CD

Just received this, had it on vinyl when it was first released, but somehow lost it along the way (how the heck does that happen?) unfortunately. Never replaced it (hard copy) until now, except for a download. Still like this album a lot. Saw Matthew soon after this was released at a small club; it was a great show. Glad to have it on a physical media again.
Eric Dolphy/Booker Little Quintet - At the Five Spot, Complete Edition. Essential Jazz Classics, released 2012/recorded live 1961.

@bkseke  It is!  I'll have to play Eric Dolphy later this evening. Haven't had him in rotation for some time.
My six year old just asked me to play something "happier!" : )

This is Thom Jurek on Paper Airplane: "It’s a melancholy record..."

...so, I didn’t get far into the Alison Krauss/Union Station recording.

On the turntable so far this morning:

Spirit - Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus, 1970

Tony Williams - The Joy of Flying, 1979

Wildflowers, the New York Loft Jazz Sessions - #5,  1976

Chick Webb 4 - Ella Swings the Band 1936-1939, 1980

David Sanborn -Songs From The Night Before
Rita Payes-In New York
Janis Siegel-The Tender Trap

All 3 recordings are on CD, using a mint vintage Technics SL-P500(1986) with flagship Audio Magic Natural IC's. Creates a very quiet black background that's tightly midrange focused. Not as extended/resolving/spacious as my North Star Design Sapphire but the Technics has it's charms! Will switch to vinyl later tonight.

Edie Brickell & New Bohemians - Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars. Geffen 1988
