The Band - The Band (50th Anniversary Edition)
Whats playing on your system today?
Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.
I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....
Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....
Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

grey9hound, Glupson,It was a few of the early cartoons, I guess from the 1950s if not earlier. The one playing at the time of my posting had An der schönen blauen Donau with piano etc. so it was, to be fully accurate, Johann Strauss. Tom really messed it up that time. Otherwise, I like them all. |

stereo5, Is this the one? (If it is, I think I will pass and continue with SACD) https://www.ebay.com/itm/PINK-FLOYD-WISH-YOU-WERE-HERE-SONE-MASTERSOUND-24-KARAT-GOLD-CD-STILL-SEALED/401130860634?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200520130048%26meid%3Ddf458b094f1f4bb5b5e29ddf806f17f1%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dpf%26sd%3D361593835454%26itm%3D401130860634%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv5PairwiseWebWithBBEV2bDemotion&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 |

n80, Ah, memories of the times gone by. You really brought them back this evening. It surely is bragging, but I once passed by R L Burnside's porch. He played for himself, there was not even a dog out there in that heat. Then he continued playing so I can say I had a private concert. Including the bottle he shared. Just a polite sip, though. The walk would have been way too long otherwise. Strangely, at that time it seemed so natural. I did not find it as anything special at all. If I remember correctly, you grew up in Clarksdale so you may understand such moments. Kenney and, I think, David Kimbrough may still be playing. As expected, not anywhere close to their dad's mastery but the party is guaranteed. At least it was at that time. I wonder if they have ever fixed that shack that had burned down many years ago. |
uberwaltz, This one happens to be unsuitable for most of the Audiogon. Still, I pretend it was made for me. Well, it was made long before I was born, but still. The album has Pachalafaka on it which is probably much more known in the version by Hashim The Tourist. https://www.discogs.com/Various-Terribly-Sophisticated-Songs-A-Collection-Of-Unpopular-Songs-For-Popular-People/release/2619484 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qq5DJ0ravTo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z390ijMvAlc |
