Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Transformational album for me. I picked up an 8 Track for pennies (CDs were in full bloom) and would sneak out and listen in my grandfather’s station wagon. : )
Funny. Roon Radio pulled up London Calling 'Lost In The Supermarket'  when Bollocks ended. : )

Started the day with Pharoah Sanders “love will find a way, then Joey Summerville “like you mean it” then  John Coltrane and Duke Ellington, and now I am on to Cecil McLorin Salvant “Dreams and Daggers”. Yep it’s been a good day! Can’t get enough.

I had a very interesting weekend. I happened to see an ad on Craigslist looking to sell 200+ (closer to 250) cd's for 20.00. Figuring if I found three jems in the lot, it would be worth it so I contacted the guy. He turned out to be selling them for a daughter, they were the bf who moved out and stuck her with the rent so she was looking to recoup some of the money. He was a little gruff when I asked if he knew any of the artists so could send me pics. Conversation went no where, as he was 85 and didn't have time to assist...., pretty much assumed that was the end of that. Friday night, he called to tell me he would be passing by where I lived and would drop them off, if I still was interested. I said sure and right on time he pulled up and after a fast look, I took the lot (again...20.00, what the heck)

Well, spent the weekend ripping the albums, they run the gamut from jazz, to classic rock, to folk, country, you name it. Hip-Hop and rap got tossed (kept the cases), listened to different tracks as I went along, but see I have many weekends going through the lot. In total, maybe 5 singers, bands that I have heard of and a lot of bands in that sweet spot (70-80). Even kept some Celtic music after trying a track or two, figuring what the heck. Even found one SACD Celtic, can't wait to put that on my player.

Have been looking for more people selling off large number of cd's, I am hoping lighting can strike twice...

Taylor Swift new album "LOVER." I wonder why they get rid of the lyrics "Hey kids spelling is fun" on "Me?"
