Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Fitzwilliam String Quartet - Shostakovich ‘The String Quartets’ 6 Cd set. String Quartets 1&2. DECCA. Released 1998.
Michael Jackson Bad, cassette, BASF tape, paper label. Cassettes like this don’t grow on trees, ya know.
Pink Ampex clamshell Cassette of Led Zeppelin Presence. Saints preserve us! The wheels were a little stuck, no big surprise, it’s 44 years old, a drop of Rock n Roll Gold bike lube (The King of Lube) fixed me right up. Hmmm, ferrite tape sounds great after all this time. Who woulda thought? Low distortion and dynamic range up the wazoo. Tremendous bass structure. Guess what? No tape hiss. Moral of the story: don’t play cruddy cassettes, play good ones.
Their Satanic Majesties Request, cassette, abkco digitally remastered from original master recording, Chrome. Sweet fancy Moses! You have to pay to play. On with the show, Good health to you!
Bkeske.
some are probably not worth the plastic they are made of... lol.
bought a job lot of 200+ a year or so back which swelled the ranks considerably.
I try to go through and play some once or twice a week.
Todd Rundgren - Runt. Rhino. 1971.

Cassette. Released 1990.

Uber, you have me beat by mile in terms of #
I think around 600 tapes total with probably 400 being pre recorded ones.
And that’s after culling the chafe and quite a few broken ones, tape come off hub on rewind, seized mechanism etc.
Uber, Looking Back on it now, yes I do have a few, mostly a mix of jazz and ‘rock’, but during that time, I was probably beginning to purchase more and more CD’s, and those began to take over. Unfortunate, as today many of these cassettes I prefer to the CD’s that were released during the same period; Mostly early 80’s to early 90’s. Then I stopped buying cassettes all together. Probably had more recorded cassettes from CD’s and vinyl than pre-recorded cassettes, simply for car use.

Bkeske
Nice to see you also have quite a varied cassette collection.

Skeletons in the Closet .... Grateful Dead.

Cassette
Jimi Hendrix Experience and Otis Reading. Recorded live at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967. Reprise Records. Originally released 1970.

The Silt / Cat's peak
Waking up the Neighbors ... Bryan Adams.

Amazing how this guy went from a hit making superstar to not even having a us record deal last couple years.
Saw him live last year and was still pretty good imho.
