Whats playing on your system today?
Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.
I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....
Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....
Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

@slaw : "You praise Clark Jr. here, yet on other threads, you posit how much you despise the sonics...…………………....." That's correct. He is an amazing musician. The production quality on the Blak and Blu CD is poor. The reason I bought Blak and Blu on HD Tracks is that it is superior to the CD. The vinyl is better quality than the CD and HD Tracks file but I don't have the equipment to exploit it. Not sure why there is such variation between media. |

boxer12 - I noticed your posting last evening of The Standard’s Albatross. I don’t see them mentioned very often. I have enjoyed their music myself...a great band but, unfortunately, no longer active. On the off chance you’ve not listened yet, check out their Wire Post to Wire and The Swimmer recordings. Equally as good as Albatross, I think. Best regards. |

R.E.M. - Out of Time Tech question. Is there any way on Audiogon to automatically go to the last post in a thread or the last post that you read? In other words, this thread is a million pages long. When I click on it in my 'Related to You' or 'All Recent" section it takes me to the first post. Then I have to click on "Last" and scroll down the end. Surely I've missed something and there is a better way? |

n80 - Right under the OP's initial "statement", under the page count blocks and to the right of the response count, there its a "sort" option which will provide the control you want. Arrow 'up' should let you see the newest responses on the first page. Arrow 'down' will put the newest responses at the very end (i.e., last page). Hope that helps. |
n80 - You are very welcome. BTW - I definitely appreciate when people take the time to comment about their listening selections; e.g., your "editorializing" about Gary Clark's B&B. I've spent some time listening to him...appreciate him as a musician, like some of his songs a lot, but not consistently enough to "buy". Might be worth a re-visit. I need to check out HD Tracks and see if I can find a good version of Jason Faulkner's - Presents Author Unknown. I bought two copies of that CD and both have bad glitches that are only evident on ripping to hard drive (which usually gives me the best sound quality). Not due to scratches! Anyway, maybe HD tracks will have a good sounding, clean running version. |
