Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.
I listened to Trower songs: Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....
Then I pulled out "Gamma". I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....
Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?
Boxer I am just as shocked especially with it also being a live album which for rock usually means it sucks big time anyway! Some of the nuances I can here in his voice I have not noticed previously and the drums are miked really well. I am pleased as I paid $10 for that one!
@chrisr Thanks for bringing the Hadouk Trio to my attention. I'm listening to Utopies now and will run through their five primary albums available via Tidal.
CAB2 - Chambers, MacAlpine, Brunel w/guest Brian Auger
Track 5, South Side, is blowing my mind. There is a ferocious 8 second guitar run at 3:16. Just amazing. (Don't know why Tony MacAlpine doesn't get more raves). As a bonus, Brian Auger delivers excellent Hammond work throughout the album. The man can fly.
