Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Everything Dave Rawlings...Poor David's Almanack, A Friend of a Friend, Nashville Obsolete...love everything he's done!
Brute - Nine High A Pallet...great quirky album by Vic Chestnut (may he RIP) with Widespread Panic as the back up band.

Allgood - Kickin and Screamin...live set from one of the best southern rock bands no one knows of.

Guess Athens GA is in the house.

No affiliation, just a hardcore fan. Last night's show was great.  Set 2 was amazing.   The show is 80% improv. Super fast crazy jamming.  They have many full shows on youtube to explore.
John Tavener: The Veil of the Temple ---  The Choir of the Temple Church / The Holst Singers / English Chamber Orchestra / Patricia Rozario, soprano / Stephen Layton, conductor.

Johnny Griffin-The Little Giant(JVC XRCD)
Mumford & Sons-Babel(CD)

Vinyl warm up off to an intense start.
Nick Mason, “Live At The Roundhouse” 2 CD set plus DVD
I am continually amazed at how great this live recording sounds. In fact, it sounds much better than any of Pink Floyd’s early music.
Van Morrison --- Astral Weeks

(classic late 60's pop/rock in rotation tonight)
The Who, Who's Next - CD

I personally feel that the band as performers were at their individual peaks at this point in their careers. Even though they already recorded Quadrphenia which is one of my top ten favorite concept albums. The albumn art on Who's Next is also a classic!

Is That So? --- John McLaughlin, Shankar Mahadevan, Zakir Hussain  (Indian/Carnatic Classical / International Jazz)
