Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1

Sir Adrian Boult conducts Vaughan Williams - Symphony No. 6 In E Minor & The Lark Ascending. New Philharmonia Orchestra with Hugh Bean, violin. Angel 1968

Franck-Symphony In D Minor(Columbia M 31803) Side 1 SQ Audiophile

The J. Geils Band-Bloodshot(red vinyl) Side 1

Richie Cole-Keeper Of The Flame Side B

Bruce Hornsby & The Range-A Night On The Town Side 1

The Staples-Unlock Your Mind Side 2

Kansas-ST(barcode) Side 2

Richie Kamuca-Drop Me Off In Harlem(CJ-39) Side 1 SQ Audiophile

Maria Muldaur-Southern Winds Side 1

Tonight everything sounded above average, tough to pick a bottom feeder. Another Concord Jazz SQ winner. Richie Cole/Kamuca both overlooked with mainstream jazz followers. Southern Winds might be Ms. Muldaur's best/content recording. Bloodshot a colored vinyl pressing with very good SQ from 1973 exacerbates my disappointment with the current SQ issues of new vinyl.

Santa, all I want for Christmas is all my favorite records to be released in UHQR

The Clientele / Bonfires on the Heath
2009 Merge

Really into this one lately. Great SQ, quiet…dreamy…

The Association / Greatest Hits
1968 Warner Bros.

”Never My Love”, super dreamy 😎
@bdp24 if interested, this stereo record employs Haeco-CSG

keith richard, "crosseyed heart"--he doesn’t overexert himself on the songwriting (the album sounds like it took him about an hour to write and record), but he’s become one of the great non-singers, with a real patina to his voice

the feelies, "the good earth"--i’ve never met anyone who hasn’t been blown away by this on first listen.

pete townsend, "who came first"--always thought he sounded best where (as here) he wasn’t trying so hard to make a Grand Statement. i wish he had used this version of "pure and easy" on "who’s next" instead of "going mobile," which i never much cared for.

Beatles - Sgt Pepper

Terry Allen And The Panhandle Mystery Band / Just Like Moby Dick
2020 Paradise Of Bachelors

@dayglow I was able to pick it up for 40 bucks and couldn't resist. I haven't gotten very far into it, the phone rang a couple of times, but the vinyl appears to be in close to pristine condition and sounds great.

hey @bslon Terry Allen on Austin City Limits this week. Can probably find it online.

The two Dirty Knobs LPS, Wreckless Abandon & External Combustion. For those not familiar this is Mike Campbell’s group, formerly of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Mike purposely stays out of the Tom Petty lane with more of a hard rock quartet and no keyboards. Both great records and recommended.

Thanks, I’ve seen it and it’s great! Recommended!

JOE SAMPLE   "Old Places Old Faces"

KENNY DREW   "Kenny Drew Trio"

EDOUARD LALO. "Sym Espagnole" - Perlman, Barenboim

Dried cured salami, diced apples and Ireland sharp cheddar cheese topped with combo of cinnamon-sugar and apples. ( no nuts ). Still debating about the wine.

Allman Brothers - Seven Turns

1990/2005 Epic/Friday Music Remaster

Average White Band - AWB

1974/2017 Atlantic/Friday Music Remaster

Not bad for a bunch of Scottish dudes.

Good remasters on both by Friday Music

Earth, Wind & Fire - Gratitude

1975 Columbia Records

My favorite from that era.

SQ is super. The horns and bass guitar are fantastic.

Black Crowes - Three Snakes And One Charm

1996/2015 American Recordings Reissue

Super clean and great sounding reissue.
