Brian,
When I switched from my Usher Mini Ones to the Twos, I only had to bring them forward 3/4".
Actually, the BE 718s we're in the same plane.
Yep, in terms of placement from the ‘front’ wall, the Treo’s are about the same as the 2CE’s. Jim kept getting trying to get me to move them closer to the wall, I tried, but lost all center imaging when I did so. Moved them out into the room more like the 2CE’s and center imaging came right back. Only tells ya that all rooms are different. I discussed this on the Vandy forum and Richard Vandersteen agreed, once you find the correct speaker placement within a room, the general ‘sweet spot’ rarely changes regardless of the speaker (Maggie’s might be the exception). |
@slaw thank you Sir, I appreciate that. However, from what people are all telling me, there is no “speedy recovery” from a total joint replacement. In the meantime, I’ve got plans for tonight.

@slaw did you get the Cake box set or just Fashion Nugget? After the discussion about the Talking Heads last night I was able to find a copy of Remain in Light on Rhino pressed in Germany. I typically hate the quality of Rhino's vinyl as it is often very noisy but this one is pretty decent. Low End is still rolled off kinda hard |
@reubent how do you like that White Ladder box? My copy is ridiculously noisy |
@6t5-gto - Very disappointed in the box set, and also the regular 20th Anniversary LP I bought and returned. Both are noisy and the vocals are recorded very hot and distort on a few of the tracks. I love the music on this album. Bought the CD when it was first released and was very excited when the 20th anniversary vinyl was released. Unfortunately, I’ve been disappointed with the vinyl. Wife bought me the box set as a gift because she knows I love David Gray. BTW, David Gray is touring and playing the entire "White Ladder" at each show. Missed him tonight in Cleveland. Too much family stuff. Hope to catch him when he swings back around to Nashville. Edit: Have you heard "Mutineers"? I like it better than "White Ladder" and the vinyl is fantastic... |
After recommendation from @tomic601 & Fremer’s first new Tracking Angle channel vid, had to stream some holes in my collection: Eric Burdon - Soul of a Man Small Faces - Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake John Renbourn - Sir John Alot of Merrie Englandes... (lovely, peaceful instrumentals) McGuiness Flint Finished last night spinning "Golden Gate Groove" - TSOP Live in San Fran. Ojays, Billy Paul, 3 Degrees and more ridin’ the Love Train
