I’m listening to Bill Evans, Live At Ronnie Scott’s.  Sheesh, I just realized that I have 35 Bill Evans albums.

I’m envious -He is the best.

Guy Clark "Workbench Songs"

2016/Dualtone

with a title like that, it's gotta be good

Back from Mammoth Mountain.  Awesome Spring ski days!  I have to wait 6 months to ski again.  Damn!  Switching over now to fishing, hiking, and of course, more music on the high-fidelity system 😊

Diana Krall  -  The Look Of Love   A truly beautiful album of music.

Carole King  -  Tapestry   MoFi Original Master Recording.  I can see how there is room for some improvement, though not much.  The 1Step should be great.  Enjoy it, Steve.

Basie Jam   I listened to this last week and had to play it again.  I think that I need to get the following two albums; Basie Jam 2 and 3.  This one is so good that it makes sense to have the entire set.

John Coltrane  -  A Love Supreme   Acoustic Sounds Series, and so well done.

Robert Plant / Alison Krauss  -  Raise The Roof

Next up, the NBA game and then some more music to follow.

George Szell conducts Mozart - The Mozart Album : Symphony No. 41 In C Major, K. 551, "Jupiter" / Overture To "The Marriage Of Figaro", K. 492 / Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, K. 525 / Overture To "The Impresario" / Concerto No. 21 In C Major For Piano And Orchestra, K. 467 ("Elvira Madigan"), Cadenzas By Robert Casadesus / Concerto No. 5 In A Major For Violin And Orchestra, K. 219 ("Turkish") w/Isaac Stern. The Cleveland Orchestra. Columbia Masterworks 2LP gatefold 1972

@mammothguy54

Welcome back Joel 👍🏼 Safe to say, you will have new speakers before the ski season starts again 🙂

Spinning Bill Cherlap’s latest “Street of Dreams” on Blue Note records great end of day vibe and surprisingly well recorded. Played Ray Brown’s “Soular Energy” afterwards (Acoustic Sounds QRP) to keep the jazz trio going and the Cherlap stands up well. Now on to Nat King Cole “After Midnight”. Guess who got left home alone tonight!

I told my local music buddy about the Pure Audiophile release of Soular Energy available at audiophile USA, and he was glad to pay $200 for it

Not sure why he’s not mentioned more?

The more I delve, the more I like!!

Childish Gambino - Awaken My Love. Not something I would have bought, a friend gave it to me, but I like it.

Justin Townes Earle - Single Mothers/Absent Fathers - such a great album and this copy is great

Lyle Lovett - 12th of June - reference recording - stunning SQ

Will Nelson - RSD - Live  at Texas Opry House 1974 - really good show and the SQ is very very good

Miles Davis - Seven Steps to Heaven - OP mono

@big_greg I just spun the same Willie Nelson - I like it a lot! Really glad I picked up a copy. Kind of a weird follow up to Childish Gambino??

@bslon

Followed your lead on his one.

X / Wild Gift
1981 Slash

Posted pic is of back cover. Thanks for mentioning John Doe on an earlier post Steve, had to dig this out and glad I did! Produced by Ray Manzarek.

@6t5-gto I just spun the same Willie Nelson - I like it a lot! Really glad I picked up a copy. Kind of a weird follow up to Childish Gambino??

Almost anything I own would be a weird follow up to Childish Gambino, which was a departure for me.  A friend gave me the record or it probably never would have made it on my turntable.

I really liked the Willie Nelson, very nice recording and nice quiet vinyl and the performances were all good.

Sir Neville Marriner & The Academy Of St. Martin-in-the-Fields : Bach: The Art Of Fugue. Phillips 2LP box 1975

Continuing the playing of local bands from here in Cincinnati.... Just arrived in the mail today...

500 Miles to Memphis - "Blessed be the Damned"

Americana Punk Rock! Pretty great album IMHO. Not an audiophile album. Unfortunately, the copy I received is warped all to heck. Gonna try to get a replacement from 500MTM, and hope their entire stock is no afflicted. BTW, I ordered direct from their site and they threw in a couple of nice "gifts" and a brief handwritten note.

Nikolaus Harnoncourt conducts Bach - Brandenburgische Konzerte Nr. 1-6. Concentus Musicus Wien. Telefunken/Das Alte Werk, 2LP box 1982. German release
