@Slaw

Hey let me know what you think of Diana's singing abilities

She had a hard start at life Her alcoholic Mother left her at a bus stop with a broken  shoulder in the dead of winter! The authorities put her in a orphanage

She couldn't or wouldn't talk up to the age of four so the Doctors recommend that she take singing lessons to help with her speech Her therapist ended up adopting Diana  Diana does a good job of making the songs Wicked game and Falling in love her own

@jrwaudio

Well, that's the kind of life that is ripe with stories if one has the ability to put those stories to music.

@jrwaudio her life reminds me of the famous BB King line: Ain’t nobody loves me but my mama…and she could be jiving too “… man that is tough…

i will try to stream her….

Counting Crows / August And Everything After
45 RPM Analogue Productions reissue
2012 Geffen orig. 1993

I usually read your music posts at this time during the week when I get to work

Steve, compared to the CD there is no comparison! Way better sonics overall and I can’t believe the detail that’s missing from the digital version.

@j_husker Thanks for

Newly acquired Mingus-The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady Acoustic Sounds Series 2021.

This mix is off-the-charts good. So much more depth and clarity than the 1973 Reissue that I’ve heard many times. Unbelievable really.

Gonna have to get this.

Eiji Oue / MN Orch - Copland - Fanfare/3rd Sym (Reference Recordings)

Dr. Keith O. Johnson should run for senate in PA!

Terence Trent d'Arby - Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent d'Arby.  I'm not sure why I ever bought this, it isn't really the kind of music I listen to.  It's been a few years since it's been on my turntable.  The production sounds pretty dated, sound quality is pretty good and there are some good songs.

@big_greg love that LP, weird that he never did much else

Fairground Attraction - The First of a Million Kisses

Received another LP of my old friend Mark today. I’m liking these solo efforts from Mark following the final break-up of the American Music Club.

Mark Eitzel - Hey Mr Ferryman. Merge Records 2017

Spent all day moving and rearranging my bedroom system. Sounds much better. As I moved my Vandy 2CE Sigs into ‘rear’ duties on the main system, I had the 1C’s without a home, so move them upstairs. Then my old streamer and PS Audio DAC just laying around, so added them to the bedroom system too. Thus, although only streaming, have a decent 2 channel option in the bedroom now. Surprised, it sounds pretty good. Thank goodness I’m divorced, my ex would have never ever allowed all this 😁

Brian, I like that you moved up the line with Vandersteen. I've done the same with Usher

 Dusty Springfield - The Complete Atlantic Singles 1968-1971. RSD Black Friday release. Sounds really good.

@slaw

Ha, yea Steve, I kinda have a small Vandersteen museum now, or sorts. 🙂 Was never really a question that my next speakers would be Vandy”s too.

The Sundays - Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic. Geffen reissue 2018, originally 1990

Damn, I love having this on vinyl…..I may have to break-down and get the other two soon, but $$$$$$

The Allman Brothers Band - Eat A Peach. Capricorn reissue, mid-70’s, originally 1972

The Wonderful Sounds Of Male Vocals / Analogue Productions
Finished all 4 sides, some good selections and high SQ but IMO not as good as the Female edition. Wife agrees, FWIW.

House to myself. DVDs. Loud.

Roger Waters - The Wall, Live in Berlin (1990)

Roger Waters – In The Flesh, Live (2000)

"Would you like to see Britannia
Rule again my friend?
All you have to do is follow the worms
Would you like to send our coloured cousins
Home again my friend?
All you need to do is follow the worms."

Allmans at Fillmore East 1971 Capricorn

Mounted the VM740 back on the Linn today after a few months with the Grado Opus. They both have pros and cons, but I prefer the Grado in my rig. Might be time to move up the Grado line.

Meet The Beatles! (1964 Capital) mono

A recent splurge. Great condition better than I remember.

j_husker, I am a fan of the old Grado "Signature" cartridges. Grado still sells replacement stylus's for them as well.
