+1 slaw(EWF)! Not enough great R&B on this thread! Will spin a side of great R&B on Monday night.

Steely Dan - Everything Must Go ( 2021 RSD )

now on this, i am greatly missing the slam of the subs on the 7's...

" that's when i remember the things i miss the most..... "... ironic

Tift Merritt - Tambourine

Frank Zappa - Hot Rats (2016 BG remastered by the master)

John Coltrane - My Favorite Things (ORG/BG/Pallas) yum!

Always inspiration here...time to pick some R&B and RSD titles

Steve, RSD is coming up Friday!  I have to admit, there's not much I saw that got me excited.  The two Steely Dan releases (Everything Must Go and Two Against Nature) were fantastic.  A lot of the other stuff is hit and miss in terms of quality or being "special".  Often it's a colored vinyl release and some outakes or a live recording added, etc., but sometimes there are gems.

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Greatest Hits.  This one is a 3 disc Warner Special Products release.  I bought it about 7 years ago and probably only listened once.  It's in nice shape and sound quality is good for a compilation.

Worst RSD list ever 😭. I'll be looking for Norah on 3" vinyl and The Munsters in the $1 bin next year.

Need a vinyl fix after listening to CD's the last couple days...

Pere Ubu - The Modern Dance. Fire reissue 2018, originally 1978

Curtis Mayfield - Curtis

Roy Hargrove & Mulgrew Miller - In Harmony (RSD Resonesance)

Aretha - Live in Philly '72 (RSD pukey yellow & orange matches the SQ)

Steve - now that was funny ! About spit up my Java :-) RSD = Royal Scam ?

There are a couple of RSD titles I'd like to pick up, but I may just wait and see if they're available online at the end of the day.

Best of Judas Priest    Judas Priest
Electrif Lycanthrope: Live at Ultra-Sonic Studios, 1974    Little Feat
The Complete Atlantic Singles 1968-1971    Dusty Springfield

Well guys, I reported a couple months ago on my experience with cleaning all 7 of the fuses in my SMc Audio amp and then applying the PPT paste. The results were basically, more clarity. A whorthwhile improvement.

On Friday, I cleaned and pasted, my two outlets that supply power to the amps/subs and speaker cables and the end/s of power cords that connected to a just cleaned outlet.

The results are pretty amazing. To put in general terms, there is a lack of feeling that there are electronics supplying the music, instead, you feel like you are experiencing them in person. The first time I had a similar audio experience was when I got my first, highly modded McCormack 225. It’s such a more organic experience.

Regarding The Division Bell" The (door slam) in the beginning of the first song in side 4, is really nice.

Hey Brian. Perfect Path Technology.

The company is now defunct due to the designer having died without leaving proper will .

@slaw  - Interesting. I just heard a door slam that I've never heard while cranking "20th Century Man" from The Kinks - "One For The Road". I think I also heard "turn it down" right before the door slam...

@slaw

Ahhhh...yes, of course.

Brian, I bought into the Mapleshade silver grease years ago, so I have had some experience here.

Hey, just a small portion treated and yet such large improvements. Look forward to further treatments.

My slow method may be beneficial in showing how partial impovenents manifest into a more matured state

Captain Beefheart "Ice Cream For Crow" Epic 1982

Ornette Coleman, Charlie Haden "Soapsuds, soapsuds" Artist House 1979

Sandy Denny "Sandy" Island UK 1972

John Cale "Fear" Island UK 1974

Randy Newman "Sail Away" Reprise 1972

@dayglow,

R&B, Soul, Funk are all very appealing to me. I just pre-ordered the box from VMP, Philadelphia International Records.

Going back to Cleveland's own.....

Pere Ubu - Dub Housing. Fire reissue 2018, originally 1978
