and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
Nirvana - Nevermind
John Prine - S/T
Neil Young - Harvest
Stones - Exile on Main St.

Sorry Jim, I've got nothing... But admiration for this response:
"6’ works if Angelina Jolie digs me and the 7’s up….."

Calexico / Travelall
;-) Tim.

Calexico - Even My Sure Things Fall Through ( server )

Man, this sounds great…
Calexico - In the Reins ( server ) I gotta get some of them on vinyl…what are the faves from the crowd here ?
slide into the grave penniless with a bad A stereo and record collection
As long as Herself doesn't sell them all off for a dollar a pop. (There's a Fremer story in there)

I have The Black Light and Algiers on CD and a bunch on MP3 but no vinyl.
@bslon

Stick around, and yes, this is a fun place.

I made some adjustments and have improvement.  Not what I want, but better than I recently had.  I'll be listing to vinyl again.  But still, I am going to upgrade my analog rig.
Dave Mason  "It's Like You Never Left"

Supertramp  "Crime Of The Century"  MFSL copy, perfect condition.

Just arrived via FedEx, Pink Floyd "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" Pink Floyd Records, 45 rpm 2-LP set.  This should be fun for Saturday night.
Jim,
I really don't have one I don't like. To pick 3 favorites...
"Black Light" Probably because they slow it down & it's kind of mellow. Buyer beware though... the content is a bit dark
"Spoke" Pretty balanced. Sound quality although acceptable, isn't as good as "Black light"
"Travelall" It's completely instrumental (no vocals)

Brendan J Canning / Chill

They should really put add pictures in this place it would make it so much more interesting.

I found these 3 records but really don't know what's in them. I bought them a couple days ago. Listened a little to the bule one from my uncle's turntable and liked what was a nice chorus that was kind of cool. Stopped it there and now waiting on MY turntable counterweight from Crosley. I found a turntable with no counterweight and contacted them and they nicely said they would send one, free of charge. So I really just want to use my turntable. The cd is a good prog rock cd.

Is it just me living here in miami,fl or are thrift store records almost a thing of the past??? I started looking for records in 99 and now it just seems so dry then before. I know goodwill and salvation army is selling to private sellers and online. They sell most of their gear online, the good stuff.

@audiowav
a couple days ago @bikerbw posted he bought a nice stack of records at Goodwill so maybe it’s just your location? Keep looking, good luck!

Dire Straits / Love Over Gold
@bslon, that’s good to hear. This place is awful for records.. I bet it’s just my location. People walking around checking a stack of 30 old records like zombies walking around for next up. lol.
I own several Calexico lps and like them all, however they aren't consistent in SQ. Excellent musicians!!!
Joel,

I am waiting on someone to post their impressions on the Pink Floyd "MLOR" 45rpm before I get it.
Steve, I have the 45 RPM Momentary Lapse of Reason in the on-deck box and it should make its way to the Sota soon.
Yes input on the Floyd 45 rpm please !

thanks Tim and Steve on Calexico
i knew you guys liked them…

Brian - I believe the saying is “ when I am gone I sure hope my wife doesn’t sell the boat and stereo for what I told her I paid for it….”
Looks like you guys are putting me on the spot.  I'll try to get to it tonight.  I haven't seen this week's episode of Doom Patrol though yet, so there are competing priorities...
Joni Mitchell Archives sent me a 7"x 7" print as a gesture for the late shipping on her big box set that I think will arrive tomorrow.
Steve, some of the cuts on Knave it’s Ian Anderson sounding like Mark Knopfler—voice and guitar, too. Did you notice that on Catfish Rising?

Jethro Tull / Benefit
Hey Bill,

Been a while for both of these lps but your mentioning that rings a bell. I’m not the Tull afficionado that many here are. This album has some good songs on it with really good SQ.
The Byrds - Sweetheart Of The Rodeo. Columbia reissue 1972, originally 1968
I get what you’re saying on "White Innocence" from Catfish Rising, Bill. Even on that songs' construction.
@tomic601 & @spiritofradio

Have either of you seen that Crooked Still "Shaken by a Low Sound" is available for pre-order at www.magnoliarecordclub.com
as a dbl lp including B sides.

Actually, everyone....they’re having a great sale right now on in stock items.
Steve - thanks for heads up ! That is a great LP …sounds like made better….
This PJ Harvey lp F. Ing rocks!!! reminds me of Chrissy Hynde for some reason....except PJ is way more far out man......
Sadly Nothing.
I went to dinner at San Nicola in Paoli and got home to late to fire up the tubes .

However it was a great meal and close friends were all the music I needed.

Maybe tomorrow I will make it down to the Capitol Audiofest and meet Dan "Mod" Wright
