Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO

Trish was there just across the river - donated blood that evening..rented a car to drive back to St. Louis. I was in my office high above the runway at LAX watching all the birds come land…

I helped build those planes, our beautiful birds….

Yes, i weep

to this day
I think that we all remember exactly where we were at the moment we got the news.  It's embedded into my life.

Everyone, everywhere I traveled for the next number of weeks and months (by car, no flights), were all so cordial to one another.  The entire country was "one".  What has happened to us since?  The division is just so sad.

Yes indeed,  "...foreign and domestic"
Aerosmith "Get A Grip"

I chose this lp because of the song.."Living on the Edge"

Eat the Rich ain't bad either...
Time to move on to something a bit more uplifting, with life, and hope…

Lorin Maazel conducts Bizet - L'Arlesienne Suite No. 1, L'Arlesienne Suite No. 2, & Jeux D'Enfants. The Cleveland Orchestra. London 1980
Thank you Steve, and you do the same.

Some of the past needs to be dwelled upon. I believe this is one of those days.
Well, can't think of an album, but here's a song.....
Father John Misty "Bored in the USA"
Boulez conducts Bartók - Concerto For Orchestra. New York Philharmonic. Columbia Masterworks 1973
Boulez conducts Berg - Chamber Concerto For Violin, Piano And Thirteen Wind Instruments / Three Pieces For Orchestra, Op. 6 / Altenberg Lieder, Op. 4. BBC Symphony Orchestra, Daniel Barenboim piano, Saschko Gawriloff violin, & Halina Lukomska soprano. Columbia Masterworks 1967

..."Cylinder dreams
passing in stages
lethardrek grins
left to bare
broadway windows

80’s night tonight.

dB’s-Like This 1984 Bearsville
Clash-London Calling 1980 Epic
My Morning Jacket "It Still Moves"
Remastered/4 lp version
2 lps of bonus material on now
John Denver - Poems, Prayers, and Promises
RCA 1971

Simon and Garfunkel - Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme
Columbia 1966 Original 2-Eye Mono pressing
Beautiful Mono sound but unfortunately a bit too much background noise from hundreds of play way back when.

I sure wish they would reissue/remaster albums in Mono that were originally released in Mono.
I hear you @tgilb. Sundazed does and MFSL does some on mono @ 45rpm!

I bought several nice mono titles from Sundazed this year

Don't know if you are aware of or like Nick Waterhouse but all of his albums are recorded in mono.
@slaw, I've come across a few nice Mono reissues also but it has been limited. I've got a few selected by the Byrds and Beach Boys but they have been on backorder for many months now and who knows if they will ever become reality.

@bdp24 Eric you would really enjoy Amy Helm new LP. First track sonics are so….. Lavon drum inspired w warm yet intimate Barn sound…..

Hope you are well brother
@tomic601: Thanks Jim, it’s on my list to buy. I got her first two after seeing Steve give her a thumbs up. Now I’m curious about her mom Libby Titus!

BTW, Mary Gauthier is on the road, coming through Portland next Friday. My ticket’s waiting at will call. I don’t know for a fact, but I suspect she’s travelling without a band. I know a good local bassist if she wants a little rhythm section ;-) .
@bdp24 ,

A friend of mine, who was an interested songwriter/guitarist,. shared the stage with Mary years ago in Georgia.
@bdp24 Fretless is out of the question IF she has any standards at all !

salivating at the mere thought of live tunes
