Boxer. It sure is. I love the way the piano is recorded on it.

The Traffic box from a couple years ago is awesome!

The Black Angels "Death Song" |
You'll be impressed! @uberwaltz! |
Judas Priest – Screaming for Vengeance, MFSL |
Well I'm beat. Another awful brutal work week, I'm getting too old for this malarkey... Lol.
So even though I have a stack about 100 deep of new to me albums I just felt I have to play this for tonight's swansong.
In fact there was a thread along the lines of what albums would you want to be stuck on a desert island with or something like that. This would have to be in my suitcase.....
Deceptive Bends .... 10cc.
How can one ever tire of Feel the Benefit?
Just one question though...where the bloody hell would you find a darned record player on a desert island??

Traffic – Mr. Fantasy (Island 1967 mono) |
Interesting noromance. I played Traffic S/T last night and excellent SQ but definitely sounded like it was originally mono and just remastered for stereo by the way the instruments were layered. |

Eric Clapton - There is One in Every Crowd. RSO 1975 |
@tomic601 ,
Regarding "Hoodoo" , the louder the better! |

The Paul Butterfield Blues Band "S/T" Sundazed / freshly cleaned |
Clark, Hillman, Crosby, McGuinn, Clarke - Byrds. Asylum 1973
Don’t quite understand this album, all past ‘The Byrds‘ musicians, but called ‘Byrds’.
Goes for a decent amount on Discogs....had it since the 70’s. |
Neil Young - On the Beach. Reprise 1974 |
Trigger Hippy "Full Circle and Then Some" freshly cleaned
This is my second copy. The first had a slight (tick) throughout my favorite song. Hopefully this one will be perfect. |
I repeat, am not getting a mono setup...
on recommendation from @noromance
Patti Page - indiscretion
wow, what can be done in early stereo with just five ish or so microphones:-) can strongly recommend this |
@slaw what’s the # on the Traffic box set ?? |
More Neil, one which I don’t play a lot....
Neil Young - American Stars ‘n Bars. Reprise 1977 |

Fleetwood MAC - The Alternate
early versions, outtakes, a completist.... |
@tomic601 ,
I had wondered about the Fleetwood Mac set. You have it on vinyl?
The Traffic box isn't numbered like MFSL.
Traffic "The Studio Albums - 1967 - 1974" Mastered from the original master tapes at Abbey Road/ Miles Showell/2019.
I ordered mine when it was first released through Amazon UK. Got a great deal! |

Van M - St. Dominic’s Preview |
REM - Automatic for the People |
Sophia Pfister "Birdcage"
One of my very favorite, new to me lp.
|
Traffic, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and probably others were subject to record companies’ wisdom. Albums were released differently in the UK vs US based upon that wisdom. Trying to find original pressings of UK Traffic will be an expensive journey. This box set was a no- brainer for me. |
Hendrix - Axis Bold as Love. Reprise, reissue, 1979 |
Sarah Jarosz "Undercurrent" brand new/freshly cleaned |
Grateful Dead - Blues for Allah. Grateful Dead Records 1975 |
REM - Monster - 25th anniversary reissue (can that be right?)
|
@bkeske,
I get the feeling you have an extensive record collection? |
Not even close to yours @slaw ;-) |
@6t5-gto,
Time passes swiftly my friend. |
1039 vinyl and 645 cassette according to my Discogs account.... Lol. Still a few CD's left too. About 300 I think |
Just completed a 'deep clean' of the Sophia Pfister lp. I rarely feel a need to re-listen to any albums I get in. This one is that rare exception. Highly Recommended! |
Kiln House ..... Fleetwood Mac |
Horslips - Happy to Meet....Sorry to Part. Atco 1973 |
