Don't tell my wife....
Fell off the wagon today! Stopped in at Plaid Room Records to sell/trade a few records that had accumulated in the "to sell/to trade" pile. I have a gentlemen's agreement with myself to not return from the record store with more records that I took to the record store. Unfortunately, or fortunately, not sure, Plaid Room had a rich bounty of quality used records at some bargain prices. Ended up trading for store credit and came home with more records than I took.
Also stopped by Spiral Groove Records with a little Fluance PA10 phono pre-amp that I received with the Pioneer PLX1000 TT I recently purchased. They sell some used hardware too and I was hoping they would take it in trade for store credit. They did...
So, now I've got to listen to this bunch of new records, cull any I don't plan to keep and add a few more culls from my overflowing record rack. Then, off to Plaid Room and Spiral Groove again to get rid of the evidence... Must restore order to the (audio room) Universe...
I'll be posting the new (to me) records here over the next few days. Here's my starter from the new pile:

I love this album. But this is the rare occasion that I prefer my digital copy. In all fairness, my vinyl has a nasty, persistent “pop” through the majority of what may perhaps be my favorite cut on the album. Though, knowing me, I’m just say’n that cuz I’ve fixated on that. Sounds pretty damn good otherwise.
I find it an immersive album & I’m on the hunt for a cleaner copy.

@puffball08 thanks for triggering the Fripp memory. Saw the League of Crafty Guitarists at the Backstage in Ballard (Seattle) late ‘80’s or early ‘90’s. A very impressive show. Bought a cassette at the venue. The backstage, now long gone,is also where I caught shows by Bill Frisell, The Ventures and I want to believe I saw Wanda Jackson there as well. Memory impairment was a byproduct of those hazy days.

Replacement mint copy of this very weird album. I bought it when it came out and liked a couple of tracks. I destroyed it a few weeks ago with a heat gun. Great sound on a good rig.

Finished up all 3 EPs (4 disks) from The Beta Band - "The Three E.P.'s". Sound quality is excellent. Vinyl and packaging is beautiful, but there are a couple of noisy spots in the vinyl of the second EP. I may try cleaning again to see if it gets better. For me, content of the first EP is better than the next two. The second EP is mostly filler IMHO, with the exception of "She's the One" which is a great song. I'll give it a try again soon to see if my opinion changes.

Another new arrival. I have this, but unfortunately the copy I purchased, albeit pristine otherwise, had the original foam sheet that was in the box deteriorate, and some of the particles found their way into the grooves. Try as I might, I just could not get it clean. So, a ‘new’ copy. This looks much better, and hopefully can listen without the unfortunate contamination.

Alright, one of the recent arrivals….Been watching for this for quite a while. Typically only available from European sellers, and shipping made is a bit crazy. Saw someone selling it in the US, and jumped on it. Really clean. Looking forward to this.
