Jackson Browne – Downhill From Everywhere
@slaw Nice pile ‘o vinyl Steve, some good stuff there! Terry Allen and The Panhandle Mystery Band / Just Like Moby Dick If you missed it last weekend, a good show…
@geof3 - Thanks for your comment. I think it's really good, especially for a 1971 rock album. Apparently the 2012 MOVLP664 is based on a 1995 Jon Astley remix from the original 16 multi track tapes. From the reviews I've read, many folks think it's the best available. I've not heard a good copy of an OP, so can't comment on that. But I do have two different CD versions, and the 2012 MOVLP664 is superior to both of them. There may be better, I don't know. But I do know the 2012 MOVLP664 I have is very satisfying to me. And it's one of my all time favorite albums, so I'm really happy to have it.

@reubent I’m listening to Who’s Next on MOV right now. I’d give it an “ok” but then the album wasn’t recorded particularly well to begin with, so I’m good with OK as it’s probably a s good as it gets!
@mammothguy54 - Good Luck Joel. If you have any questions about the version, etc., just let me know. The 2012 MOV version sounds very good.
@reubent Thanks so much for the good work and going the extra mile. My original copy and a reissue don't sound very good. The album is one of my special favorites of The Who. I also saw them do the North American Tour of that album, at the Long Beach Arena, in 1972. I was a senior in high school. Now, I am just a "senior". I will be seeking out a copy of the MOV reissue. Thanks again.

A week or two ago I asked if anyone had a recommendation for a good release of The Who - "Who's Next". I don't believe I got any feedback, so I went to Discogs to see if I could find anything. There are a few recent reissue/remaster releases available. The one that seemed to get the best reviews, at a good price, was the 2012 Music on Vinyl (MOV) reissue/remaster. I found a new copy for a reasonable price on eBay and it arrived today. I gotta say, this one sounds really good. Best I've ever hear "Who's Next". I do not have an older/original vinyl, but I have 2 different CDs, including one 2000's remaster w/bonus material, and the MOV vinyl release is better. The Who – Who's Next
Recommended for anyone who loves this album and doesn't already have a good copy.
