Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
Billie Elish - When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (2019)
This is great. A LOT of bass and it goes low.

Listening to the Lucinda Williams "This Sweet Old World" after the US cleaning, Did remove the "murky quality" I previously heard. Much better!
Dave Brubeck  - Time Further Out - Impex Records  - absolutely stunning
Monk  - Straight, No Chaser  - also Impex Records  - staggeringly great

I just got back Chicago and picked up the two new Impex items when I stopped by Music Direct. The Impex stuff is soooooo great,  DEAD SILENT, dead flat, and the SQ is off the charts. I am just going to get everything I can by them

Abbey Road — I seem to have acquired three copies — I don’t know.  At any rate it sounds good.
The Lucinda is sounding Soo much better after the US cleaning.......on sides 3&4 now.
Thanks, Slaw,  I will

The Cars  - Shake it Up  - Mofi - very, very good
Voyeur ... Kim Carnes.

What a voice.

Also glad to see there is still a lot of love for " Rough Mix"
Beatles - Abbey Road 3LP Anniversary Edition

Just purchased after listening at a local shop today.   They played some tracks from the original vinyl pressing for comparison and the original sounds much thinner.

Brought home and listened again. Quality is fantastic!  The vinyl pressing was done in Germany.

Have not listened to the sessions on the 2nd and 3rd albums yet.  Will do that tomorrow.
Elton John - "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" - From the End of the World to Your Town!
The Beatles - Abbey Road (Anniversary Edition 2019)
Very good but not great. Cymbals too recessed. The out-takes LP I heard was more enjoyable.

Current 13 - Thunder Perfect Mind

Jennifer Warnes - Famous Blue Raincoat
The Jesse Sykes lp is one that upon repeated plays, really grows on you.
.........................................
Sparklehorse "Dark Night of the Soul"
Machine Head .... Deep Purple.

Astounded by my new cart.
A nos Astatic mf100.
NEVER heard a cart that is as absolutely silent as this one.
Just total black background and details leaping out The grooves .
Oh and it’s only got four albums on it so far.
Just landed a beautiful score of albums.
All German pressings played once only from a guy stationed at NAS Jax here who bought them all while serving in Germany.
Played once only because he recorded them all onto reel to reel and then stored them.
Apart from no shrink outer these ALL could pass as new!
Pretty stoked and will play a few tonight.
