What are you streaming tonight?

As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares.
We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media.
I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations.
I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.

@bdp24

Small world theory confirmed!

I will actually be staying right on the water Vancouver side in the Homewood Suites, room already booked.

You can count in me joining you and hopefully a tour of local record shops, music equipment etc.

I used to play bass and write the lyrics in our band and still love looking at great music gear!

Thank you for being so generous.

Small world, @uberwaltz; it is in Vancouver that I live! Give me a buzz, we’ll meet for some Becks. Maybe folkfreak will have us over to hear his system (VTL, Magico) in Northwest Portland.

There are two drummers I knew in L.A. who had already moved to Portland before I did. One is Jose Medeles, who has been a member of The Breeders and Kim Deal’s solo band. He opened a good drum shop in Portland (Revival Drum Shop) about ten years ago (not too far from Music Millennium, a pretty good record store), and leads a local band doing Tom Waits songs (tribute bands are huge up here. I had a woman take me on a date to see a Zeppelin band, not knowing how much I "don’t care" for them. I played along ;-) ---Eric.

@bdp24

Becks is good.

Portland is on my hit list still of retirement places.

Although Tbh, Rapid City, SD is tops so far with Butte,MT a close second.

Will be in Portland about June time as we are installing some new heavy machinery in a factory just across the river in Vancouver.

Hopefully get to check out a few live acts while there.
Becks in bottles, @uberwaltz. It’ll do ’til I can find here in the Portland area my favorite, Grolsch. At the taverns I’ve been sampling the local IPA’s, which are too "wheaty" for me, and a little astringent.
Jond.

Have you tried Qobuz yet?
I cannot remember if you said you had or not?
Or are you streaming both??
Exaudiam Eum - Gregorian Chant for Lent and Holy Week -- Consortium Vocale Oslo
I am keeping this thread alive and kicking even if it ends up being just my one man show.

I have decided who cares ... Lol.

Somewhere for myself to scribble down my likes and plays at the time if nothing else and if anybody else gets something out of it too, well that is great.

I am pretty sure it will never share the same camaraderie as say the turntable thread but that is fine too.

Call this thread my guilty pleasure!

Enjoy!
David
You are absolutely correct.
I obviously made a speeling gaffe months ago and just let autofill perpetuate it.

My big bad!

Qobuz it is indeed.

However .... No gentlemen present!
Qobuz, gentlemen. Qo-buz... [Not QU BOZ]

I believe (please correct me if I am wrong) pronunciation in French sounds similar to abuse with a Co beginning ( ~ Cobuse ).

Wikipedia lists pronunciation as ~ 'co-buzz'
@uberwatz Can you tell me if Quboz has NEW ORDER - Substance? I was looking for it on Tidal for the last few years and cannot find it. I am trying to figure out if I should switch to Quboz.
Succumbed to pressure.... Lol

The White Album ... The Beatles.

Quboz hires at 36000ft on route to Reno.
JD McPherson - Let the Good Times Roll

This one did not hook me on the first or second listen but now it has really grabbed me. Great voice. Retro sound with a new edge to it. I think I'll buy the CD.

The songs I really like are : Let the Good Times Roll, It Shook Me Up, You Must Have Met Little Caroline and especially Precious.
Let's Be Still ... The Head and the Heart.

Quboz hires.

Thx to Boxer12 for the recommendation.
@uberwaltz The White Album has some rockers on it and the Giles Martin remix sounds incredible.  Sgt. Pepper doesn't rock as hard, but the Giles Martin remix is an aural treat.
Gosta
Going to have to give those Beatles remasters a try.

Even though I am from England I never cared for the Beatles over much, I was more of a hard rocker.

But I have mellowed over the years and admit Sir Paul’s last album was pretty darn good.
Help - The Beatles

These remasters of the Beatles catalogue are fantastic natural sounding.
Handclaps are handclaps. And boy could they sing.
