What are you streaming tonight?

As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares.
We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media.
I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations.
I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.

That's good to know Reubent, must try out the web based service as I have now hooked up my main pc to a third upstairs system.
Lunchtime listening. Listening to Radio Paradise today, via their FLAC stream. I usually listen to RP on an iPhone. Haven't streamed from my laptop in a while. Went to RP website and clicked play. Was totally impressed by their new updated player. Looks awesome, with 4 total windows showing 1). controls, now playing and past play list, 2). Current selection information, with rating, etc., 3). User Comments and 4)., Wiki/Info about the song, album or artist.

The new web-based interface looks, and works, fantastic. Sounds really good too.........
It's Monday, so it must be my "Discover Weekly" feed on Spotify! A few nice selections this week, but the winner, IMHO, is:

Kyle Kraft - "The Rager"  - Wow! What a song.
Double header this morning.

ZZ Top ..... Eliminator and Afterburner.

Qobuz hires.
Ghost.
I decided to just stop at top three or I might have filled a page....lol.
Bonnie Rait, Alison Moyet, Annie Lennox, Ann Wilson, Samantha Fish , Pat Benatar, Jenny Lewis, Grace Slick, Debbie Harry, Stevie Nick’s, etc etc.

You get the picture!
Just love Joanne Shaw Taylor!
She is right up there with my female top three along with Beth Hart and Melissa Etheridge!
@bdp24

I actually own that Great Buildings album, Apart from the Crowd.

It's not bad........

Along with Falkner, also in The Grays was a soon-to-be hot young producer, Jon Brion (Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple, Rufus Wainwright). When my woman and I went to see Jill Sobule at Largo, she didn't have a band, but Jon got up on stage and played a coupla songs with her.

If you guys are into checking out obscure Pop, the two guys in The Rembrandts were formerly in a band called Great Buildings (one album on Columbia, which flopped. I saw them live once, and wasn't too impressed. They had just signed their deal papers that day, and may have been drinking ;-) .

fyi...I misspelled Jason Falkner's name in my post above.
It is correct here (no U in his surname).
If you guys REALLY get into Jellyfish, their UK and Japanese 7" 45RPM singles had a lot of non-LP tracks, mostly live recordings. In the afternoon before their live show at The Palace, they did an instore appearance at Tower Records on Sunset. I can't remember why, but the power went out just as they were to start their set, so they performed acoustically, almost a cappella. Fantastic harmonies!
@bdp24

Thanks for this band too.

Streaming Beatnik Beatch on Qobuz.

Really like this one too.
@Ghosthouse.

Where the heck have you been!
Good to see you again my friend.

Thanks so much for yet another great tip.

Ro-Sham-Bo is on Qobuz too, in hires to boot.
If you are enjoying music by Jellyfish (and Jason Faulkner's contribution in particular), check out The Grays', Ro-Sham-bo.   Thanks to Pokey77 for turning me on to them (and JF).

@reubent ,

I own "Bellybutton" on vinyl and had forgotten about it until now. Thank you!
Just googled it and it was Bogart’s in Long Beach CA.
Makes more sense.

Wow, Google really is your friend.
Does not have Faulkner on guitar either as he had to skip due to dislocated shoulder.
@reubent

Is it the same Bogart’s?

Seems odd that a short lived West coast band would release a live album from Ohio?
Not meant as any criticism, just odd, unless it was a spectacular show and recording.
@uberwaltz - I'm going to stream the live album and check it out. As you may remember, Bogart's is here in Cincinnati. I've seen many shows there over the years.
@slaw - I admire your dedication to vinyl. Wish I could do the same, but lack the budget to do it right. Got too many other expensive interests that also need to be funded. Plus a teen son who is a new driver and is looking at colleges. My audio budget is going to be meager for a few more years......

May the (vertical tracking) Force be With You!

@bdp24  - Nope, never saw Jellyfish live. Heck, I never ever heard them back when they were together. The beauty of unlimited streaming is finding new music like this. Their 2 albums are so cool, I can't believe they did not make the big time....
Fri.... chk... where have I been ????streaming Jellyfish on Tidal now, mint low price LP is €65 and then shipping from Germany...

love it, tight band for sure

@reubent, did you ever manage to see Jellyfish live? Insanely great! The drummer stood up, singing and playing. Jason Faukner left after the first album, it was the second line-up I saw, at The Palace on Vine Street, across from the Capitol Records building. Unbelievable 3-part harmonies, great musicians. Drummer Andy Sturmer was a Jazz-influenced player, and was previously in a band named Beatnik Beatch (along with fellow Jellyfish member Roger Manning), who had one album released on Atlantic.
If it concerns music it’s ALWAYS good!

I applaud Slaws philosophy on sticking to records only.
I wish I could be so resolute.

Sometimes I feel like I should ditch my cassettes or reel to reel or CDs etc.

But I have all the gear although I agree that if all finances could be diverted to vinyl replay only it might get really spectacular.
@reubent ,, I made the decision years ago to stay with vinyl and to the best of my ability. That meant all extra income had to go only to this. This is what makes me happy. I don't have a difficult time finding new music. Most times it comes straight to my inbox. Registering with record label sites has helped. Member's suggestions, quick searches on Amazon. Allmusic. NPR.
@slaw - I know. Didn’t intend to rain on your parade. Question for you: Do you stream at all? I know you have an impressively extensive vinyl collection. Where do you find new music?

Oh, and "Welcome to the Dark Side!"
