Upgrade From Clearaudio Satisfy CF to Tracer?

My table is a Clearaudio Performance DC w/Tracer tonearm running a Kiseki Purple Heart, it all sounds pretty fantastic. The simplistic layout of the Tracer just makes sense to the engineer part of my brain. Highly recommended.

I have a Clearaudio Performance DC Wood tt with the Tracer tone arm.  With my Ortofon Cadenza Bronze cartridge it is very marvelous.

Awesome! By all accounts they nailed it with the Tracer. That was due, given their bad misfire with the magnetic arm. Thanks for being a cool OP to update us with your results :)

What misfire? Never heard of anyone having issues with any Clearaudio arm.

@mulveling Satisfy is not a magnetic suspension arm. Concept/Verify and Clarify are.

@knock1 Sorry, I didn’t mean to imply the Satisfy was magnetic bearing - it’s not, and it’s a reasonable choice on the entry Clearaudio tables. I realize the way I worded the comment may give that impression.

The magnetic bearing arms were a horrible idea, and they will give problems with most flooring short of concrete slab or wall mount (maybe). Otherwise - don't play too loud, always mute before you walk around, and don't have the wrong kind of record warps. These arms solve the wrong problem - not much to gain by lowering friction beyond that of a quality rigid bearing, but the bearing itself must be stable and not so reactive to footsteps or LF feedback. 

The complaints are definitely out there. The main CMB bearing itself can cause issues too (e.g. woofer flapping) but to a lesser extent.

@mulveling There is no reason to be sorry. After rereading your post I see you did not imply that the Satisfy is magnetic bearing type and you were referring to that concept itself, which I agree was not too smart idea in itself.

Hi every body, have a chance to pick up a perfomence dc but body only. Wondering if the clearaudio tt can install non clearaudio tonearm. There's so less info can be found, even the official website and manual.

I have been played with a modified rega p2 tt with a micro seiki tonearm for years and want to upgrade my tt. A perfomance dc body and concept with satisfy tonearmjust in sight.

Prefer to use my micro seiki ma202 since it serve me well and i have different cartridge mounted on different headshell. So wondering if there is any chance I can mount the ma202 on performence dc. 

Any info is appreciate
