speaker connector broke

I am in need of the connector or terminal for my Focal electra CC 1000Be central speaker. I was tighten the cable and the connector broke.

I got in touch with Focal America and they do not have  the connector, they says my speaker is an old model.

Does anybody know, where I can find this connector

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about it too much. There are plenty of good ones out there. Try Parts Express.

Should be fairly simple to swap the connectors. I’d look for WBT, Furutech for example. There are others as well.

Good opportunity to upgrade.  Buy a pair. One trend I'm following is low mass.  Lots of low mass binding posts for thin walls such as amp chassis' but not many for speakers so do your own research.  (I'm making my own).

If you don't feel comfortable changing them out you should be able to find a local audiophile/modder who could do it.  Requires some soldering.  --Jerry

Thanks everybody.

I called the above manufactures. They want to know:

type/style/size of the connector . I do not have any idea about this connector

in regard to their demand. I just listen to the speakers. I sent them a picture

of the back of the speaker showing them the connectors

Any opinion ?

I recently had the same issue with a speaker.

My solution was to remove the plate, unsolder the broken connector and remove it.

I then a attached an extension wire and connect it to the speaker cable so I could continue using the speaker

With the broken part removed, I was able to identify a suitable replacement.

The problem started with the mandating of weak plastic shielding for alleged safety benefits.

Hands up anyone who has taken a nasty jolt from a speaker terminal?

More useless, wasteful, costly health and safety mollycoddling.

do like those solid red copper connectors. So many out there are made of what, I can't imagine. I mean, if a connector snaps off it is likely not copper based. More like pot metal as we used to call it.
