Sound level listening

Regular use of SPL Pro. Also try and keep peaks below 85db. Average listening range 70db - 80db.

60-70db according to my phone app. close enough for me. 50-60 most of the time. im in an apartment. 14x16 ft room. 

I check with a meter occasionally. Try to keep below 85db peaks.

Around 70 dB at listening position. 

@bassbuyer my preamp has a numeric display for the volume. I use that as a guideline. 

I was wondering about the same question so searched and found this old thread.  Will add to it instead of starting a new thread.

I just purchased a dB meter to check how loud it is at my listening position.  I found that depending on the music most of the time it’s between 50-70 dBA.  I thought it would be higher.  I tried 3 different devices and the results were fairly consistent.  My doctor told me to keep it under 70 to preserve my hearing with my old guy ears.

Does anyone else use a meter to check or do you rely on the volume/loudness setting on your system?  

68 to 72 db for the most part in a 20X24X10 room. Enjoy the music

75 to 80 db. Except when I'm listening to the Ramones.

~ 75 - 78 db… large room.

75 to 80 db. Medium sized room. Classical and jazz music.
