Silverline Audio

I’m looking to replace my floor standers in my 2 channel system after many years.

In my HT system I use Silverline Panatelas-long since discontinued and my previous 2 channel speakers- with Silverline center and Minuets as the surrounds in a 5.1 array.  I haven’t heard anything about Silverline in the past decade or so although they still have an active web site; however I didn’t see any new products listed at least in the sub $100K(it isn’t an easy site to navigate, so perhaps I missed it).  anyone know what their current status is?

As a past Silverline owner I love Alan’s speakers and how he voices them. There are two pairs of Silverline Bolero speakers up for sale on USAM. They are wonderful looking and sounding speakers. If you like a full bodied speaker with a bit of warmth and outstanding bass the Bolero is perfect.  I owned a set for a few years.

I’m also a fan of Alan’s speakers and he’s a great guy to talk to.  You should just give him a call.

FWIW I agree with Grannyring. I've used Boleros for over 12 years. In my modest sized room (13.5x20) they are near perfect to my ear.

Hey Mahler not sure what you’re seeing on the Silverline site but I see SR7 monitors for $600, Prelude for $1499, Prelude Plus $1999. So plenty of affordable options or the used route as Grannyring and Newbee suggest. I also see a pair of Panatella II's on USAM for $1400 that look like a great deal.

Double check their website, the only thing I see there for over $100k is their top floorstanding speaker. Everything else is less and in many cases a lot less.

Make sure you are on a desktop PC to browse their site. I tried on my phone and it is not a good experience.
