Seeking horn array loudspeakers with a maximum price of $17,500.00 per pair.

I didn’t know he was “married” to horns. Plus there are others out there.

Sorry to be so blunt, most of us have done what you did with your system, it’s a total mismatch mess…you need advice to fix everything…if I were you I would call Mikey at 11stereo to sort everything out…sorry if I am causing a problem with everyone…

I wish I had the funds to buy $17,500  speaker because then I would have my heating n cooling system replaced, and take a really nice vacation....error good luck my man...

I think it is helpful to know of non-horn alternatives that deliver similar sound.  While I am a fan of certain field coil drivers, the ones I like are above the $17,500 price range.  Also, it would be helpful if specific speaker models or drivers are mentioned.  Most current field coil drivers are full range drivers used as single drivers in a speaker system or as a wide range driver in multi-way systems.  I like some systems using single drivers, like the Songer Audio systems, and the PereAudioAproject open baffle speakers with woofers and field coil midrange/tweeters.  Field coil drivers that are similar to regular woofers and tweeters are employed in the two-way Audio Note AN-E speakers.  I like these speakers too.  Field coils are used in horn compression drivers, like ancient Western Electric 555 drivers and currently manufactured G.I.P. replicas.  These sound great too.  
I have heard dozens of field coil systems, and most are very good sounding.  But, I’ve heard equally good permanent magnet drivers and systems so I don’t think that nothing else compares to them.

The JBL 4367's I've heard and liked. But then I'm biased. Always liked the dynamics of JBL but the raspy sound was always a problem. However later iterations have improved IMO, giving lively dynamics and sweetness.

Volti Luceras at $12,900 are great speakers, and no they are not grainy at all.....they are brilliant. That is $4,500 less than your budget, and would leave some room for you to pick up a tube amp if you choose as well. The Volti Rivals are better yet at $16,900, but would eat up your whole budget......but damn they are silly good.

Pure Audio Project Trio 15 with the horn tweeter $8,400 are brilliant too, and that would leave you $9,000 to add a great tube amplifier. Notice with Pure Audio Project that you can have different tweeter/mid combos (Voxactiv, coaxial, horn) which changes the configuration and price tremendously; I very much prefer the horn version.

I'm adding a new pair of speakers this year, and the Volti and Pure Audio Project are very high on that list. I am lucky enough to have friends that own both brands (I helped them with the purchase), and I get to hear them frequently as well as I've spent much time with them at Axpona - Capital AudioFest - Southwest Audiofest

I have a pair of Volti Razz speakers, tried lots of tube amps they sounded really good but I put the Pass Labs preamp with the First Watt Sit-4 amplifier on  and that took it to the next level with no worries with tubes…

In comparison with other speakers you can’t go wrong with Volti speakers…

For my money I would be looking at Khorns. You would be amazed what a pair of those would do. They take very little power and because they are not super low impedance they will not stress even a modestly powered receiver or integrated amp. If you can arrange a home audition of a pair of those you might well find your end game speaker there. I knew a guy that had a pair that he drove to earsplitting levels on 60 wpc. You can only imagine what kind of SPL was possible when he upgraded the amp to the H-K Citation 16. At anything like sane listening levels, a 20 watt amp would be plenty.
